Default Teleported Heroes

So I was exploring the bits in the Frost Gate mission, using the Consume Corpse method to teleport to the killed NPC on Ruriks path.
When I explored the last bit at the Southern part of the map I accidently clicked on the release flag for Heroes and henchmen, but whatever. I was just staying there and chatting with a guildie. Like 10 minutes later, the henchmen and Heroes suddenly appear on my screen and on Rurik's path.o_O How did they manage to get their I wonder. I walked the way back to check if there was an opened gate or something, but couldn't find any passages.=S

I had something like this happen to me. I was running with Koss as a backup, and I got bodyblocked and died. So I then proceeded to use koss as the runner and when he got throught the zone portal, he suddenly appeared next to my body. Perhaps your heroes could have zoned, but considering you were in a mission, that seems unlikely.

Re-enact the scenerio and this time pay attention to the pathway your heros take.

Off-topic... but that is quite a nice Axe you've got there.
What might that be?

Hey this "feature" could have saved me much time doing the 'Dunes of Despair' bonus. It's common that the henchies will teleport to you, after managing to cross over with Necrotic Traversal and engage a fight there. But heros too? I let them kill themselves with a vampire weapon and rebirthed them from the other side. Must try next time if they teleport as well. (It's sad (boring) to see them slowly die .)

AFAIK if you get to an area where your heros can't follow you, for example you using consume corpse on that dead body, then after a set amount of time of them unsuccessfully trying to reach you GW will think they're glitched and teleport them over to you. At least thats what i think happens but anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Heh, too lazy for that. I'm happy I just did this part (I hate the bit to make the Ice Golem kill one of Prince Rurik's guardians).>__>

Thanks, it's a Mallyx's Reaver. I bought it a few days ago and totally love it.^__^

Did Dunes with heros the other night. Flagged them before necrotic traversal then went back to fight the last two generals, unflagged them (I heard about this glitch) but the only hero that teleported was Dunkoro...Koss got a little confused.

I’d read about this hero/hench teleporting business elsewhere in these forums and decided to give it a try at Dunes of Despair, where I needed to map the ‘back-country’ area for my GMC title attempt. So, off I go to DoD with 3 heroes and two henchies. Eventually (3 tries) I got a lucky spawn and managed to kill a scarab on the other side of the moat and I used necrotic traversal to go across. I mapped as much as I could on my own but there are LOTS of scarabs and eventually I got killed. No worries I thought, I’ll just wait for my heroes and henchies to teleport to me. So, I waited and waited……after 15 minutes, nothing.

So, just to see what I could do, I flagged my team over to the enemy Ghostly Hero and they quickly killed it (our friendly Ghostly Hero had been left way behind, outside the fort). Then, lo and behold, the whole team teleported to my location! I was resurrected and I then proceeded to fully map the whole of the ‘back-country’ area without problems.

Just why the heroes/henchies only teleported to me after they killed the Ghostly Hero I have no idea. Interestingly, the two ranger pets (mine and Jin's) did not teleport.
