The last time I tried, I was a SV necro, 19 blood.
3 warriors hitting him, My screen was filled with -120 on him.

So the only problem is, you have to hit him and take the same... axe warrior? hit him with a sword for 1-2, he'll riposte, take 120, repeat. dead shiro.
ho and keep weakness on him.
spoil victor, enfeeble, awaken the blood. yeah that's 3 skill to kill him.

The problem with RoT is that people slice through the rest of the game not even thinking about what they're doing. Then suddenly, adverse conditions, and you can't just run into ten mobs and kill everything. Boo freaking hoo.
Learn strategy, plan ahead, and don't run the same heroes with the same builds everywhere.
Saying "L2p!" is stupid, but when you really look into it, yes, that IS what you need to do.

This is really more of a PEBKAC issue more than anything...

At least a dozen different strategies have been listed so far in this thread, they're all effective. Pick one and run with it.

RoP is not hard with good interrupt spells and careful move. Abaddon is easy, the most painful one is not Shiro, it's the one who corrupted him, the fortune teller quest cost me 4 hours and I finally decide to change my MoW"s build, give him some life deg and interrupt spell, then I passed it nice and safe, even got a green bow on the way.

yer Tetris and Minesweaper a good game for you, if you think you gona play the game with 320 LB points, Torment creatures to be killed by you or your heros only if they die laughing. Just Play the game like its mean to be played

More lighbringer points = more damage + more damage reduce

if not when you get a party to help you do madness and abadons you will post here soon asking why people dont accept you in DoA with 320 LB points

Shiro is easy to kill. Just leave on tank on him like Devona and use Spoil Victor and other anti-melee hexes and he's dead. :]

ya, i gave dunk healing seed, and i just tanked the hell ot of shiro with my war. just be sure to bring wild blow. as for my other heros, i had zhed set up as fire nuker, and master as mm. shiro likes to attack the minions first. as for keeping my heors alive, i actually just flagged them back right on the edge of my aggro bubble. they never come up and shiro never wnet back. then i went to kill the lich.

8 hours a mission? Where?
First time in urgoz with a "balanced" group *cough*yeah balanced way back then*cough*- 4-5 hours for a clearing without EoE.
First time in foundry of failed creations- 5 hours... with a MoF group. (Fifth day DoA was open, I love that build...)

one offensive spirit spammer rit and watch Shiro run around like a chicken with it's head cut off... (just make sure you bring shadowsong and dissonance). After you ignore him capping the shrines. Send the Rit down to center, set up spirits then lead him in circles around your rit who keeps shadowsone up, as well as whatever the hell else. The spirits alone pwn him.

Shiro is cake. I kept Spoil Victor and reckless haste on Shiro while my party did the mission, and Shiro just kept hitting the monk. My party got a bit annoyed and said "Omg! 2 more shrines! Don't kill him yet!" When he was at like 20% health. :P

I think the op has found out that he's a really bad player, and has given up arguing/taking hints. Maybe it's time to close this?

And craero, it takes around 8 hours to finish DoA depending on your speed, so there is technically a mission that takes 8 hours :P

It's not hard to do that at all... A friend and I did a few quests in the Domain of Fear and, by taking bounty, levelled up a couple of times and gained maybe 1000 Lightbringer points. It's easier than you'd think.

Haa haa, I had that but with hench. We were literally 2 seconds off capping the last shrine when the hench, SOMEHOW, managed to kill Shiro. Man, he is such a wimp!

Okay... so, for those of us who don't currently have access to anything but the NightFall chapter, what's a decent replacement for Spoil Victor or Spiteful Spirit? Most of the recommendations here revolve around use of either of those skills, and I simply don't have access to them, making those suggestion completely irrelevant (until I get the corresponding chapters, at least).

In fact, there's a number of skills recommended here which I'm sure are absolutely incredible against Shiro, but they don't exist if you only have access to the Core and NightFall skill groups. It would probably be helpful if people could suggest skills that mimic or replace some of these skills.

My other beef with the advice here is that while adding a screenshot is potentially helpful to those that have played a little longer than me, I simply cannot read the skills off the skill bar if the bar is half the default size, and tucked in a corner.

Other than that, I'll add something that I noticed last night (on my final mission attempt for the evening) that's a adjunct to the mission suggestions in the Wiki. I just checked the Wiki, actually, and they don't mention the problem I had last night, but it could just be the randomness of the spawns when the portals open.

After you smack the torment claws and the pop-up scythes, if you flag your heroes down to the branches in the hill path, you only get the low group of Shiro'Ken, as mentioned. After nailing all the Shiro'Ken, when you run through the opening in the canyon wall directly behind where that group of Shiro'Ken spawn, don't stop, RUN LEFT. I stopped just inside the canyon wall and had 2 Titan Abominations, 4 margonites, 3 portal wraiths, and 2 Torment Demons spawn directly on top of me. Like I said, maybe that was just a bad luck spawn for me, but when I've taken out all the Shiro'Ken and gone through the top entrance to the canyon, I've [u]easily[u] dealt with the portal groups, 1 or 2 at a time.

Anyhow, if someone can offer some NightFall-specific advice in-game, my s/n is Apophis The Cursed; I'm always open to suggestions!

Get a PUG or guild group with someone who has Spoil Victor.

Just because you don't have a skill doesn't mean you can't team with someone who does.

If playing with other people scares you, I'd suggest buying a game that doesn't have MMO in it's description.

seriously i had alot of trouble with this mission at first; i got really frustrated and was there for weeks.
but if you ahve a plan its not that hard. At the shiro/lich part you lure the lich out and kill him. Then you IGNORE shiro and run around the shrines for masters (this should make it easeier). Then once all shrines are taken recharge skills and attack shiro. just watch out for a certain skill he uses (i cant remember the name)...just run abit from it

Why is everyone flaming him because he's having trouble with a mission? Look at it this way... he's spent 8 hours unsuccessfully grinding away at this mission. He's probably annoyed and frustrated. Do you seriously expect him to say/think "Alright, I suck and I'm a lousy player, I'll just keep grinding away some more" ?? It's pretty normal for him to write up an angry post... a while ago I was stuck at Grand Court of Sebelkeh for a couple days (finished it on my 14th+ try) and yes I did write up an angry post... guess what? Got flamed for it.

What is wrong with asking for help and stating your opinion that a mission is too hard?

To the OP, if he's still watching the thread:
Don't get mad and do anything wild over this mission. There are runners for it... all you need is a lot of cash. It took me ages to get past this mission as well - about 9 hours, until I finally looked for a runner. But if you don't want to hire a runner, then all I can say is - good luck, and bring stance removers and anti-warrior hexes.

Nobody flamed him, he was given many suggestions and stated that its too much work then he called the developers retarded and finally stated he doesn't need help because he'sd been playing for over a year.

Well, i doubt the OP is even paying attention to this thread anymore...
But i'll post a few tips for those having trouble with RoT.

-General areas of RoT between towns and missions, wards are your friend.
-Group buffs great for general RoT areas such as: Light of Deliverance, Ward vs Melee, Wards vs Elements (vs Rain of Terrors), Shields Up!, Watch Yourself!, Hex Removals, etc...

-Gate of Pain: Bring a ranger hero with Broadhead Arrow. Send her in first to use BA on the TortureWeb Dryders, also with a couple interrupt skills for the Terrorweb Dryders.
-Gate of Madness: As people have said, have a warrior setup to tank Shiro with a couple stances, and Wild Blow. Kill the Lich first, ignore Shiro, then pull everyone to just outside the door, and Shiro will be at the edge of his aggro and stick to the tank about 90% of the time. Also, Spoil Victor, Spiteful Spirit, Insideous Parasite, Price of Failure are all good vs Shiro...
-Abaddon's Gate: At least one monk with LoD, or Heal Party. At least one person/hero with a mass condition removal, Martyr, Cautery Signet, etc (i use the General with Cautery Signet + Mantra of Inscriptions, along with Fall Back! when Abaddon goes invulnerable again, and you will not risk pulling the center aggro...) Then plenty of degen sources and armor ignoring dmg sources vs Abaddon (i.e. Blood degen necro, conditions, hp stealing, etc). You will have deaths often still, but be persistant with the right, left, center, abaddon tactic.

Lol, oops i wrote a bit too much... anyway i hope taht helps!
cheers.
