Default Abaddons mouth capping.

Hi. I've been trying to cap fevered dreams in Abaddon's mouth mission. Problem is, he rarely spawns. I've seen the monk and necro spawn more than enough but no for the mesmer. Its terribly annoying and I feel when I try to cap restore coniditions. It will be the opposite.

Anyone else had this problem? Its really starting to get to me after running the mission more than a dozen times with no luck.

Make sure you're checking every possible spawn point. There's a few way out on the back side of the island.

Yes I know. He spawns only in 3 locations. I checked them again and again. I'm just asking if anyone else has had a problem with the mesmer boss spawning. It really irritates me that the only place where you can cap it, and there is a chance he doesnt spawn at all especially in a mission. Comes to as a joke.

I think everyone has had a problem with "their" boss spawning in Abaddons. It's Anet's way of saying thank you for playing the game.

Grab Heros, usually 2 x Searing Flames and Power Block Norgu, and it should only take you 10-15min to get to the boss.

Are there not 4 spawn locations?

All three have been there for me every time I did that mission. There seem to be 3 locations on the "coast" then one slightly in-land. Granted, Guildwiki only shows 3 locations but I'm very sure there is a fourth...just inland a bit from the middle one I think.

the "spawn location" nearest the area where you start seems to have the lowest spawn rate...ive checked there 10 times but the dryder boss with restore condition never showed up

Ah yes restore condition from the spider boss, i had to redo that mission 5 times until it spawned.

Actually i had to ball up around Wyla the monk boss, while regular henchies put an end to her reign of terror, nightfall wasnt out at that time so no heroes.

Quite hard and anoying.

Actually il post a pic later.

I finally got today after again another 3 tries. Guess it was a run of bad luck? Maybe.

I checked if they're was a 4th location that you said Celestial Beaver, and only found lots more dryder's. It could be a location but until one spawns there. I'm not sure.

Congratulations!

It took me 8 tries to get him to spawn and get Fevered Dreams.

Yeh also had the same problem. Tried to cap Restore Conditions with my Monk and the two other profession's Boss always spammed, and tried to cap Fevered Dreams and the two other profession's Boss spammed xD

You just need luck and a nice and patient team who's willing to go there cause it's not on the main road. And henchies... well it's kinda hard to go through the first fort with them xD

I believe that there's 3 possible spawn points. It took 2 tries for me.

When I went to cap RC on my Monk, first try and he was at the first spawnpoint. It's just random luck.

chalk this up to, it ain't easy capping all the Proph elites. Those ring of fire caps can bug you out, how many times you gotta keep going back after changing your secondary.

My tip is this: know where the closest possible spawn point is, and just try to get there as fast as you can, and see if it's him. If not, reload.

Could be worse. When I went to cap Charge many moons ago, it took me 47 tries to get it spawned at the first location. Most of the guild was in TS at the time, and I know for a fact one person did fall out his chair. We all heard the crash, protestions to the contrary.

After the first 20 tries or so it just became a game, I think we might've even had a pool going after that. I used to have a screenie of the countdown, but lost it somewhere.

There are 4 locations, one of the few times Wiki is incomplete.

98 FLIPPING times to get the Soul Leech boss to spawn. I've yet to see somebody top that run of bad luck (took 3 hours outta my day)

I do not know how many spawns it took, but I tried for "elemental attunement" for about a week. I guess I played around 1-2 hours a day and didn't focus 100% on it either.

I was really excited when I first made it there one my ele - finally a few builds I *really* wanted to try were open to me, by the end of the week not so much. Just some *really* bad luck.

I remember the first time I went into the Perdition Rock explorable I saw the spawn WAY across from tons of mobs and thought "nah, this is the worst spawn and will take at least 45 minutes to get there". Going into an area fairly blindly (I had only looked at spawn points and what what boss to look for - nothing else so I could experience any surprises they wanted me too) I had 60% dp at that point (exiting from Ember Light Camp it is the first time pulling is mostly required - the mobs congregated at the rez shrine) I didn't bother. Needless to say for the rest of the time I was kinking myself in the butt

Ah well, fondly remembering my noobish days (not that I do not regress sometimes nowaday also)

Wiki shows four locations, take care not to miss the one to the north:
