I got about 3000 LB points from doing stygian veil on hard mode. So unfortunately, you are just trying to farm them in the wrong place.

Trapping Stygian Veil in hard mode. 16 LB points per kill, 36 monsters dead in 7 minutes or so.
Not to mention the abundance of skill points accumulated. |
