Default Clearing the falls

ok this took me about three hours to do. i as reading in guild wars wiki website and found there there is a "fan" mesmer green drop there so i took my lvl 17 at the time ele and started slowly down the path looking for the Root Behemoths and riders though it took forever i finaly found them about half way threw the map. there are about 6 Root Behemoths maybe a bit more and about 200 riders i think i say about 3 rider boss's. only problem was the riders are mesmer of course drained my energy fast. there are about 3 maybe 4 smaller groups of riders but there are also 4 groups of like 10+ which is almost impossiable for me to kill with a henchy group. so i was wondering has anyone here ever done this before? tried to clear the falls i mean. oh forgot to mention that there are also a ton of other creatures before you get to the falls doing this clearing i went from about 50% lvl 17 to 80% lvl 18..

if anyone has any ideas on how to get all the groups cleared please let me know. and if you'd be interested in going on a clearing with me there?

thanks.

Hi, as far as I read you're a E/? I explored this area toward my GMC and it wasn't possible on the first try for me too.
You should bring some AOE spells like Tentais Heat/Searing Flames/Meteor Shower etc. If you're a Mesmer secondary, a good thing is to bring Mantra of Concentration. The riders will probably stripe it, but its enough protection when you're casting your AOE spells. If youre other sec. profession you need to put your henchies in front of you so the riders use their interrupts on them or simply use 2-3 normal attacks first and AOE later in combat to prevent interruption. You can count the interrupts - you will hear *click* sound when it hits someone. The Cry of Frustration they use recharges 20 seconds. They should be already dead when this skill is recharged for the first time.
Take care when heading over the bridge on which end is group of Wind Riders + Boss and 2 Behemoths (each has 2-3 healers buried in ground - they will heal wind riders too!). Best way is to pull the whole group of the riders on the bridge without popping up the healers and use AOE skills there when they are tightly packed up.
That are some of the tips I can give you, if you have some questions, simply reply and Ill try to answer it for you.

I've been there, more than once. Used to clear it solo with my necromancer for the Totem Axes and the occassional gold drop.

If you have access to heroes (ie, you own Nightfall) setup one of your heroes as MM. That should do it.

If you don't have heroes it's a lot tougher for a Ele. I'd probably take both Thom and Stefan to make sure your team is spread out (melee up front, casters in the back). Have the enemies just outisde your aggro range and hit Ctrl->Shift->Space. You will stay where you are and the henchies will rush in. When they have all the fire focused on them walk in and take them down.

Good luck!
