Livingston, edited my pic in post #63 to include the mask [Ranger male acncient armor] since I discovered that elonian armor headpieces can accept insignias so I bough one.

Sorry to be so picky (no pun intended ), but I need a pic without your head chopped off. It should look like the others that are on the front page.

Thank you,
Livingston

If you've replaced the pic, it still has the head half cut off...

Everything besides this should be updated now.

Bring on the Pics!

IMO Nightfall has the best assasin armors, there were only a couple I liked in Factions but everyone Ive seen in Nightfall I like, I just hope the male versions are as good.

I'm sorry, but I can't stand this armour. Well, that's not entirely true. The armour itself is ok. The massive huge blades hanging off the shoulders and the forearms just...ugh. Those things would probably snap off rather easily, or if they're think enough to be strong, that's what? 20 pounds of steel hanging off various parts of the body? That'd get awfully heavy, awfully quick. Not to mention snagging them on doors, walls, limbs, trees, anything, everything that got close to you?

Not to mention they serve absolutely no purpose in game since we walk around with daggers in hand so you're carrying around all that extra crap for nothing.

Yeah, I know it's just a game, but I want something that would actually be worn, not esoteric and superfluous blades hanging off any empty portion of the body...

oh and this applies for all armours not just one. Vabbian, Ancient, Imperial, Exotic, Luxon, Kurzick...this is what my assassin looks like. 15k canthan save for the...uhh, shorts, which are 15k luxon (didn't like the skirt much). Even with this combo there's still a pair of hooked blades hanging off the heels (not shown in picture). What purpose do these blades serve? Absolutely nothing.

[/rant]

I'm gonna have to agree with Shadowbane. Some spikes or whatnot are always cool, but that's just way over the top.

Can you imagine getting knocked down in that? There's no way you wouldn't stab yourself.

Yeah I figured that, and thus had already done so, but it was still cut off. It's cool now though, so thanks. ^_^

It's been linked.

I do see what you are saying. If I were going to design a suit with blades like that, I would make them look at least half functional. They are a bit ridiculous, though at the same time they look cool. I think I would have to call it ceremonial armor or something myself.

And no offense, your armor may look functional but it also looks hideous. >_<

I think mine has the best of both worlds. Very functional, light, tight, water resistant, plenty of accessible weaponry, and it looks pretty keen at the same time.

Could you give us info on what materials were needed?
If so, just edit the post above to include them in the link.

It was the best I could do given the options available for 15k assassin armour. I'm thinking of redying it. /me idly wonders what it would look like in white.

Anyway, enough digression. I should try to keep my griping elsewhere so this thread doesn't get (any further) off topic.

Thank you for posting, but your pics are way too big. Could you please crop them down to the size of those on the front page?

Also, though we are certainly on friendly terms, we are not directly affiliated with Guildwiki. We are an elite GW fansite as are they.

This is project to create an armor database for GWG, as such posting a link to one on another site within such a thread is not appropriate.

It would be the same if I posted a link to this thread on the Guildwiki entry that you linked to.

this reminds me...I guess they aren't gonna make 15k Knight's armour (I mean the skin, I know about the insignias can go on the new armour) for Nightfall. Since the knight's armour and lieutenant's helm is featured in the statues we see in the Elonian desert I was hoping to see updated versions of them in Nightfall.

It's not just you. It seems like it doesn't matter how much bold and flashy red lettering is used...
