Default The Wilds ~ Necrotic Traversal Exploration Trick.

I can't manage it.
More specifically... I can't manage to get the spiders into a position where they can actually attack Evennia without the edge of her ledge blocking their attacks...
All my attempts to lure them to different positions have proven effectively worthless as they can shoot me from just about anywhere nearby (being rangers) without having to move.

Not only that, but Guildwiki claimed there were three groups of spiders, and I only get two... -_-;

Firstly, why would you want Evennia to get attacked? If you want exploration, you don't need that bit at all. Tyria has a very large amount of leeway, so not having one unexploited area won't matter. My Elementalist scraped from Kryta onwards (only exploring the major chunks out of the previous areas), and got TGC without going into the 'exploit' area of The Frost Gate.

Besides, I believe that ArenaNet has fixed this bug, so don't bother trying.

orly, my monk has actually wallhugged the whole game, including certain exploited areas and is stuck at 99.9. ^^' i believe there really is a difference on the exploration for chars, but whatever.

necrotic traversal doesn't work anymore anyways. it ain't possible anymore to reach places you normally can't access, sorry.

You can try using sin skills like recall or something else..

that doesn't work either. teleports, shadowsteps and whatnot can't get you to a location you normally can't access. this was changed for gvg mainly, when assassins could teleport behind the npcs without having a thief open the gate.

I want to open up all of Tyria that I can. I'm not cutting any corners. I want to get over 100% if at all possible.... I'm not leaving bits out just because I don't feel like putting effort in. It'll only cost me in the long run.

Since when?
I managed it in Frost Gate just fine... and that wasn't all that long ago either.
It just has to be in aggro range... rather than way outside it... last I checked. And if it was done at the same time as the Assassin skills then I know for a fact it still works as I know that Necro teleportation can get me to places that shadow-stepping can't.

If your following the guide from my thread and still arnt able do it give me a PM in game and id be happy to show you how to do it. Although i cant do this week since my PC is out of action but after either this Saturday or the next one, ill be able to help if needed. Sames goes to you Mokone if u need help, the area isnt worth much but its still worth about about 0.05% and in Tryia every little bit helps, so it may get u to 100%

It is possible for the Boss Spider to solo kill her but it takes considerably longer than when all 3 spiders attack her. Sometimes it seems like it just cant kill her but eventually it will.

On a side note i havn't tried the mission on Hardmode yet but i would presume she dies considerably easier in Hardmode since the Spiders are Higher lvl. Ill Post in my Thread once i get around to testing this theory.

.... Heck, if the spiders could hit Evennia I'm sure I wouldn't have any problem, but I can barely lure them anywhere.
They're all rangers... with ranged weapons... and there is almost nowhere they cannot shoot at from exactly the middle of the area.... -_-;

Hence any attempts to get them around to one side doesn't work as they don't need to move to keep shooting me...

Your guide really doesn't go into details for luring the spiders into the right place. It is awkward as all hell.

Simply get them to target u, pull them towards the vine bridge and then up a little way and then break agro (which is pretty easy since they are rangers) they then resume auto attacking Evennia. Most of the time they will get into position to hit her. Note also by doing this Evennia moves slightly more forward than where she starts increasing the chance of her being able to be targeted by the spiders.

When luring them back, put on troll, agro them and then gradually move back very slowly, troll again, so u stay alive keep moving until u have them where u want them and then break.

There was a glitch in the game where you could go through portals at mission places and explore big chunks of the map ex: Dunes, Riverside, Ruins of Surmia etc... and that would add up to about .5% to 1%.

Also by glitching in Nolani Academy mission it was possible to crash the server and make everyone in town get an error 7. That was caused by going up the stairs that are supposely outside the town, eventually reaching the gray area of the map..
