Default PUG Rant - Stupidity Extreme (No Names!)

Today, I played Ebony Citadel of Mallyx. It was the 2nd try for the day, in a PUG group, though I had grouped with our SS nec before.
It went fine, and we ended up getting to mallyx with little to no DP in the group.
And that's when it started descending into PUG stupidity!

People could just NOT follow simple orders.
It all started with the cute little Flesh Golem. Our golem ele got told to stand next to the wall in order to ensure she got close enough. She stood next to the wall beside the gate alright, but not close enough, so our monk and tank stepped up to the right stop, and told her to stand on top of them. It took her extremely long to process such a simple order.
Well, lo and behold, the golem dies, and our tank step in the door to trigger the cinematic. And BAM, suddenly we are inside (all skipped the cinematic) and there we stood, all 8 members... INCLUDING A FLESH GOLEM!
Turns out the ele reanimated the flesh golem right before the cinematic. We had prior to entering told everyone not to do anything unless told, and noone had told her to REANIMATE the golem.
Heck, we even explained why the golem was there... for our HB monk to NT to.

So, some shouts of "OMFG" and "wtf" went through the air. We looked around, and turns out 4/8 of the party still had weapons out, even though we had told all to empty the hands of their characters before even getting near the gate. We decide we got this far, so we still wanna give it a shot. We ask all to ball up. To noone's suprise, all except our 2 eles stood in a fine ball. Those 2 stood around 2 ingame meters from the rest of us. Great.

We tell them to ball up, but they just can't seem to understand. So our tank says screw it, and ask all to stand still.
They do. At least for a while. As soon as the tank aggroes Mallyx, and Mallyx has turned red, what do I see? One of the eles turn her character. Unbelievable! Of course our death is swift. 1½ hour of my life wasted on the stupidity of a single ele. I wonder how she ever got to the citadel.

Please, make me feel better by sharing experiences of stupid PUGs in DoA.

Let me make you feel a whole lot better with a tale about a newb called Brimruk, yes that's right: me. It was right after I had actually done Gloom with a PUG, and so I was feeling pretty confident of my awesomeness in DoA. Well, one day I logged on and saw people looking for an ele for Foundry. Knowing that it was one of, if not the hardest, areas in DoA I decided to try it out. Everything was going fine until the 2nd or 3rd room, the one with 3 Greater Dream Riders. The claws went up and our eles and OF ele tanker died. This was no problem, the monks brough everyone up EXCEPT the OF tanker. Me, being the smart one that I am, proceeded to Rebirth the OF'er onto our side. After a few moments of stunned silence, vent was full with yells of "Who did that?Oh d**n". The ele was laughing, but I was scared. By some amazing grace of god, the group decided to continue and somehow we got through this obstacle. We went on to finish the area and I must say, I was very proud of myself.;-)

Explorer's is not the place to rant about in-game philosophies or the collective aptitude of the gaming community. Feel free to look up the thousands of threads that have been posted in Riverside about the same subject.
