Default HM Poisoned Outcrops

Uh oh!. didnt find an thread, sorry if there was one though..

I dont know about you people but i think this place is probably the most annoying place i've ever been at. Heck!, ive been there around 12hrs today, testing skill setups mostly, alot of sudden wiping though, it goes well first, then it goes very badly.. etc .

I dont know whats my problem, i can kill all the bosses with a little luck even Mage of the Sands goes if there's only Shamblings with it but... im all out of luck when it comes to this place, i eventually get wiped in a very simple fight for what ever reason against an average awaken group, usually in the starting area if i skipped them or the huge group of defiliers on the hill nearby, doh!.

The Elementalist Awaken boss is really dangerous (380+ stoning) even the Aftershock he's constantly spamming can wipe two melee with ease although, we managed to get him down with 30% dp but we just got lucky (that didnt happen again) but in the end of that run .. Mage of the Sands had 2 extra Sandstorm Crags & 1 Shambling, now that wasn't pretty at all.

Heck, im running the same builds as in Joko's Domain almost, BHA ranger, Smiting monk with Life Barrier (cant survive without it for very long). Curses/hexes dont work here at all, it's even more dangerous because of Hex Eater Vortex, MM isn't going to work either.. elementalist is reduced to wanding in most fights because of VoS & Obsidian Flesh... Well, maybe i'm just slipping after been playing for that long, but any tips are welcome though.

Tbh i don't think theres much more you can do. The Awakened Ele Boss was a major pita when we did it too. Killed us a couple of times including a load of res shrine kills thanks to the frigging Margonite mobs (we'd forgotten about the master quest and someone still had it...). Luckily the Sandstorm boss was a major anti-climax, his mob was 3x Mesa and him. He got 1 SS off which targetted the alone 60dp + PS'd Sousuke then died after a very pathetic 30 seconds of been dazed.

You can't completely shun out hexing and spellcasting. Hex Eater Vortex is painful yeah... but thats only because your screwing yourself over with Life Barrier if that happens. The hexes themselves do more good than harm since its not overly spammable and they can be AoE. VoS is annoying though... but the fact is the Carvers/Effigies can't do a whole lot once you've killed off the rest of there mob that CAN'T protect themselves from spells.

Phew, its done and it was tough, again. Way tougher than Joko's Domain overrall.

I did it in reverse order, first we killed the "Mage of the Sands" i rezoned so many times that i got 3x shamblings saved the Awaken Elementalist for last (1 wipe there, zerged the acolyte down). Necro boss had crazy amounts of melee units this time. It was way more painfull than ever before thus we became overwhelmed at first . One totally LONG fight with 2 Carvers, 2 Cavaliers, 2 Acolytes, Gray Giant (head too), it seemed to last forever until BHA started to work its magic.

Yeah right about the hexes, they'll work on some groups not all groups have Thought Leeches. Might take the necro & ritualist MM out for Ruptured Heart. I didnt change my builds or group layout though for this place, i guess i finally got lucky enough :P.

I packed a lot of defense when I did that zone. Myself with Watch Yourself! and Shield's Up!, Morgahn with Defensive Anthem, Ballad of Restoration, and Aria of Restoration, along with Razah packing Union and Shelter. Sogolon for his motivation help, Herta for her Ward Against Melee, Mhenlo and Khlim obviously, then Cynn for some damage.

And of course, Magrid with BHA and Frozen Soil.

I think the spawns is the deciding factor on how stressful this zone can be. I had very few awakened groups spawn with defilers (with the defiler boss resulting in one of the two wipes I had), and three shamblings with the sandstorm boss.

You + Morgahn + Razah + Margrid + Sogolon + Herta + Mhenlo + Khlim + Cynn =. ...

There's something I'm missing...

I'm having a lot of trouble with this area...

It seems that Margrid shoots BHA at random... sometimes she targets warriors, so I have to micromanage her targets... is that the same for you?

Which build do you use for her?

We used what we call the sprit trick. We have Razah put out a sprit of pain in the route of the patrols. Let the patrols use up some elites on the spirt. His sprit of pain last 158 sec on my hero. . We wait right on the edge of the sprit argo and ponce on the patrols. Oh the look on thier faces are priceless

Not my build got from our Alliance leader [[Razah's Skills and Attributes];OACjAyiLpNfzzZ5Mcm5ObWvLGA]

Razah's Shelter was most welcomed also
