Well, hopefully some of the modders can see if Gw:en has been preloaded yet!

Unfortunately TexMod doesn't access the dat file directly, but intercepts DirectX calls to find where textures are located.

Basically, until we see GW:EN textures in-game, we can't access them with TexMod.

Text mod only lets us find graphics and textures of things on your inerface. we shouldnt be able to find GW:En stuff at all because we can't access anything.
Although some interface changes like the above you would see because it effects wholegame. nice find

now the map of tyria has been extended i should be able to find the map....

Before the update my GW was fully upto date (as in all files downloaded + decompressed), i've just ran the -image thingy today and it's downloading over 24k files..
I'd dare say a good majority of GW:EN has been added.

I think that GW:EN has been pre-loaded at least in the map/texture sense. Considering that free preview weekend, having the data live and on players' computers well in advance to work out any bugs/allow them more time to play GW:EN instead of a Loading screen makes sense. [/runonsentence]

Tyria is MUCH larger. When I saw the new loaded map my jaw dropped.

It was like 519 mb's thats probably a good chunk of textures needed for a bit of the game. But there'd still be a fair bit more to come. I like it being delivered bit by bit, means when it does come out less strain on server, less wait for me to play :-)

I dunno. Thats about the size of a single CD right there, and GWEN supposedly isn't as large as a "normal campaign"...

You can use the tool from http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=1645 (download link is on page 8) to browse some files of your GW.dat.

Nice things of the latest update you can find are new skill icons, new skill descriptions (fairly incomplete though), maps of all new areas, many new textures of armors, faces, monsters, ..., descriptions of some of the areas and lots of new sounds.

You can also find some funny skill ideas: Monkey See, Monkey Do: For 20 seconds, this Skill is replaced by a Skill currently in use by a random friend or foe within earshot. The new Skill activates with an attribute level equal to the caster's rank in that attribute.

There are improved graphics and sounds that are noticeable in the current campaigns as well.

i am wondering if those new lighting and shader effects from EotN will also be applied to the 3 campaigns when EotN is released (the new fire etc. in the E3 Demo looked very nice)

Where'd you hear that?

It doesn't have a beginner area, but everythign I heard suggested this will have the most "post-level 20" content yet. (and I don't mean literally past level 21, just using that to describe content meant for established characters.)

i believe it was actually stated that it wasnt going to be as large but it has alot of mini games and things to do to keep you occupied though.

That armor looks like the Kurzick "sentinel" armor from Factions.

The pet could be a wolf (old) or a polar bear (new).

Nice finds though!
