Simple question:

Amazon and GAME are linked from the Guild Wars homepage article on the pre-release bonus pack as 'retail partners'.

In that case, why do they appear to have no idea that a pre-release bonus pack for GW:EN exists?

There is absolutely no mention of it on their websites. Same for Play.com, Gameplay and numerous others.

Can anyone confirm that an order for GW:EN placed with Amazon or GAME will actually include the pre-release bonus pack?

Well details have only recently been officially announced, so I wouldn't panic yet.

Amazon, Game and Gameplay have all supplied them in the past. Play have never offered the pre-release (which is ironic, because they're usually the first to advertise anything).

I wouldn't order until you see it listed, though. Amazon offered the pre-release as a seperate listing last time. There was an option to get it free with Nightfall, but it was a seperate click from just ordering Nightfall.

Amazon.com has the pre-release pack, however neither Amazon.co.uk or Play.com (UK) have the prelease pack, so im guess its only available in the US currently. The NF and Factions pre-release packs were both released alot Later (closer to the actual date of release) than the the US ones, so im guessing this is going to occur again.

I walked out of Game not more than an hour ago with a copy of the preorder box for one of my alt accounts, so I'd say they're doing them. Mind you, my local's always been very good with stuff like that

Yeah, i just went and checked, both my local GAME stores are selling them as seperate items and not as a preorder for £1.99...

and not counting towards the price of the game itself... Rip off i tell you!

Nah, if you buy the game or anything else over £17/$29 in the store you get the Bonus Mission pack as long as you buy something before October 31st, so not missed out yet

@ Miragemaster. Who says I cant get one, two, or even 3 copies from the shops and then 1 online? Besides, you don't have to get the bonus pack by preordering GW:EN anyway.

Just pre-bought GW:EN from my local EB Games retail outlet, seems they have NO IDEA about the Pre-Release bonus pack.

$51.29 CAD for GW:EN is a good deal in my opinion, since well if you look at the conversion rate:

$1.00 CAD = $0.95 cents USD

I bought it today since the Canadian dollar is almost at par with the USA dollar atm. WHO KNOWS if there's gonna be a recession and my dollar will be worth up to $0.10 less next month, which would raise the price to close to $55.00 CAD.

Yes, Anet, that's how much I want this game. It would not kill you guys to get the marketing team to educate the retail stores about this stuff you supposedly released today...... :/

If you want my money so bad, WHY IS IT that I can't buy your Pre-Release Bonus "Pack" ? HUH? HUH?

ALSO, if I happen to win the lottery(I'm playing tonight for $16,000,000), I'll send Anet a cheque for $2 million and hope to expect a GW: Bridge to Cantha and GW: Hell on Elona AND ALL GAME WEAPONS INSCRIBABLE! at least a year before GW2 comes out.
