Okay.. so I didn't buy GW:Nightfall and I haven't worked with the Heroes yet.. but I was wondering would one need Nightfall to get to work with the heroes that will present themselves in GW:EN or not?

If so i'll have to buy Nightfall as well (and was kinda putting off on doing that).. so could anyone clarify that for me?

You can get all of the new Eye of the North heroes, even without Nightfall.
But of course, if you want any of the old Heroes from Nightfall, you will need to buy that game.

But you'll definetely be able to get Jora, Gwen, Pyre, etc.

No, you don't need Nightfall.

One of the points of having Heroes in GWEN is for those players who don't own Nightfall to have access to Heroes.

There will be 10 Heros in GWEN, probably one hero of each Profession.

Speculation:

Gwen, Human Mesmer
Jora, Norn Warrior
Ogden Stonehealer, Dwarf Monk
Pyre Fierceshot, Charr Ranger
Vekk, Asura Elementalist

NOTE: Jora is confirmed as Norn Hero, probably Warrior.

Odgen, Pyre and Vekk are all confirmed.

Gwen will be a Mesmer, but unknown if she is a Hero or NPC.

Wait, what? Gwen is a Mesmer? But didn't she heal us in the original GW? (like, if your health dropped below 20% or some ammount she'd heal you for 20 hp?)

Thing is, if she's a Mesmer, she gets to be partnered with... Norgu! I hope he doesn't go on a buffet-rampage and accidentally eat our long-lost Gwen.

Plus the demo videos show a Charr Ranger hero, Dwarven Monk and Asura Ele, so those are definate. A-Net have talked about Jora already, though Gwen is just speculation (We know she will be there, but dunno whether itll be NPC, Hero, Hench or possibly enemy?)

And a bit off topic, but is anyone else gonna make Gwen an illusionairy weaponry mesmer (If she IS a hero) just so she can kinda be the warrior she wanted to be? =P
