Ok, here's my map; currently at 98.5%. My biggest problem is I can't play much during the week. That leaves the weekend and I'd really like to get 100% during this one so I can focus on farming materials and prepairing for NF.

There's that farming area east of Maatu Keep I know I'm missing. It's on my "to do" list for saturday. It won't give me 1.5% though, so pretty please could you check the maps? I'd be very grateful and ofcourse there's going to be a "Grandmaster Cartographer Party" with everyone invited. YEEEEEHAW!!

That's 8 of my spots missed, which would normally put you under my rule of 6. However, since you had to wait a few days for me to get to your maps I'll go ahead and do Kaineng as well. I will however need you to find a spot yourself on any other maps that you want examined before I will go further than that (As explained in post 2 of my thread), if the spots here don't get you your title first.

That’s 8 for Shing Jea, so you've hit the rule of 6 as well.

Just post back here when you have uncovered one of my spots in Kaineng, if the those don't get you the title, which they very well may.

I don't think you are missing 5.

You are missing 7 in Shing Jea. This hit's the rule of 6. See the bottom of post 2 on my thread if you don't know it.

You got it. You didn't hit the rule of 6 with your Shing Jea, so I had to come back to you.

So here it is:

I did all the spots you mentioned, except for Mount Qinkai #19, waiting for a group for there.
I also finally managed to get the small island spot #10 on your Luxon map, wow, that's a pain
After noticing i missed spot #16 from mount Qinkai, i also replayed the mission cinematics from kurzick aspenwood and both jade quarries. (not sure if i missed something there, or if it helped, but just to make sure )

You have violated my Rule of 6 . Which you can read about on my thread.

Before I will check any of the rest of your maps, you must find a spot yourself that you didn't have before by comparing with the maps I have made on my thread. The reason I do this is because I don't have much time to check maps, and if you are/were missing 6 or more spots that I have already pointed out in my thread, then you simply aren't looking or exploring hard enough.

If you truly can't find anymore, even by using my thread, then wait two days and come back, and I'll help you again when I have the time. However, people who haven't triggered the Rule of 6 will have top priority.

***********

To GEXTE: I'll be checking the rest of your maps as soon as I have a chance.

I absolutely positively refuse to show of my screen shots yet, because I'm stubborn and don't want to need someone to point out to me what I'm missing. I'm currently at 98.6% and have been scouring over these 100% uncovered images and comparing to mine for 3 days. In that time I've managed to squeak out 2.3%.

All I have is one tiny, simple question before I go absolutely crazy...

The first is from a 100% uncovered, the second is mine (this is Haiju Lagoon, by the way)

The circled area on mine still looks covered to me. Is it, or am I going crazy? If it is still covered, how in the world do I get it?! I walked (as you can see) the wall all around that area (several times) that is walkable and I just cannot get it to look like the other maps. It's the same area as #20 you (Livingston) have pointed out on your map, and I followed your advice... killed the rit boss and all his buddies, walked along there... it got the little area across uncovered, but not that little patch in the middle.

Please, please just a tiny bit of advice before I pull my hair out.

I must admitt, since I did a map analysis for KevinHarwood I am somewhat curious how that went. I have seen no further posts stating progress. Did I happen to catch all the spots? LOL, I was mostly asleep at the time so I am really curious where he is at.

I just wanted to thank you again for your help Livingston. That Grandmaster Cartographer title looks so good under my main characters name.

LOL, no I do not use any programs. The only thing I use is the link you provide to your maps and the Guild Wars game itself, which I put into windows mode with the U map full screen. Then I choose one of the tabs on the taskbar either of the map or GW, and then I keep clicking it as I stare at the screen. If I choose to click the map, then GW will be in the background. Thus when I click on the map's tab it comes up over top of the GW screen, when I click it again it minimizes and thus I can see the GW screen again.

So I line the two up as perfectly as I can, and I stare at the spot I'm searching, then I begin clicking rapidly. Slow enough to allow the picture to fully come up, but fast enough that it only stays on one or the other for a split second. Also since minimizing is quicker than expanding, I will usually focus more on the differences between the two when I've clicked to minimize one of the windows, rather than when I am clicking on it to bring it back up over the window behind it.

Not sure if that is clear, but that's how I do it.

As far as you needing glasses, seriously when I examine many of these maps I think to myself, "Jeez is this person blind or what? That spot is freaking huge!" (For example #2 Unwaking Waters from your Kurzick map. I have no idea how you can't see that huge black blob over it). However, I really believe it comes down to practice. After I achieved my title, I was trying to clear up any extra spots that I didn't have so I could use my own map to check other people's and some of the spots that were pointed out to me I simply could not see at all, even though I knew exactly where they were.

Now of course I have no problems at all. They stick out to me like the proverbial sore thumb. You have to take into consideration though that I've now looked for the same spots on the map hundreds of times now. Though when the maps people provide me are no the same size as the U map on the GW screen, it takes me 5 times longer to check maps. Yours for example are a little too big. So everytime I want to check a different spot, I have to take the time to completely realign the map. Where as if it were of exact size, I could just stare at the middle of the screen and check every spot nearly at once.

By all rights you should have that spot. But you definitely don't.

I've went back to that area and have had a walk through it. The only thing that I could suggest is that you go back to the beach area in the south part of that shot and go up into the water as far as you can. You have to walk very slowly and try going from left to right and right to left, while facing the area you are trying to uncover.

After that go back to where the shocky snake is, clear the island again, and grind at any corners you can find. I remember it was a bit difficult to hit that spot. I can't remember if the entire spot is cleared from that point or just the north part of it though. I do know that you really have to work for it though on the little island. There is just a tiny bit that juts out more than the rest. And that is what you need to hit to clear at least part of it. Like I said before, go very slow, face the direction you are trying to clear, and try it left to right and right to left.

The last bit does actually matter with some spots. For example it is much easier to fully clear number 24 in Shing Jea by traveling East to West, or right to left.

Let me know how it goes.

***************************

Congratulations to natuxatu!

And you both are very welcome.

down to 98.9% but i have been staring at the map so long that i probably miss the obvious spots. I have hugged walls again and again but it is not adding up. I marked a spot on Shin Jea island i know/think i miss. And I still need to do Jade Quarry. But will that add up to 1.1%? I used Photoshop to get some spots but it does'nt give me anything more so i'm kinda stuck. I tried the recall/return trick to at the mentioned spots but i cant get it to work.

Here are my maps i would be a very happy person if they could be analyzed

LOL, no reason to be shamed, especially as I realize now that you were exempt from the Rule of 6

When I saw your post the picture was broken so it didn't dawn on me that you had reached 99.6%, even though you said it in your post. The rule was new enough that I had forgotten that bit, where as the picture would have jogged my memory.

So congratulations!!!

Congratulations!

To make it an image you should only have to use the image tags. But it might have something to do with imageshack as it isn't working right. I believe when you load the picture it gives you a specific link that you need to use to have the picture show up as a picture on a message board.

Have you read my thread? http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10032479

An extremely quick glance at your first map showed me 1 and 24 on Shing Jea.

I read your thread and it helped me to get to 98.9% but as i said i might just have been staring at maps for to long.

1 did'nt reveal anything, 24 have'nt checked yet. After i posted yesterday i uncovered shin jea 16 & 18 wich put me up to 99.3% i then went to Jade quarry and behold i got in twice and i 'm now at 99.8%. so I got .5% from jade but then the fun was over and the place was empty again. I dont know if .5% is the max you can get from Jade quarry? or if it should be more. I still miss the part just west and Northwest of the Jade Quarry (Kurzick) map icon but the map is to dark/unclear to be sure.

so 0.2% left. I'll keep looking
