Can't really say without looking at your specific map because the last 1% is usually minute spots in multiple zones rather than all clumped together in one. Shiro's banishment area, along with the edges of Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry battle areas spring to mind as the most frequently and consistently unexplored things; other than that, it's just bits and pieces like the NW corner of the "top" level of Arborstone, the "farmland" spot east of Maatu Keep, or the spot SW of Zin Ku Corridor that has to be cleared from inside the outpost.
I don't believe you can make it to 100% without using Leighwyn's ALT+TAB method to compare maps unless you'd like to wallhug each and every area not knowing which ones you really need. So what I suggest is that you try it yourself, or post screenshots of your "U" window so others can compare them for you.

I've not looked through all the posts but has anyone used Dougal's Difference Layer analysis technique for the 100% cantha map? As posted in the "tips for tyrian grandmaster" thread in the tyrian explorers' league.
I'm working towards grandmaster of Cantha as well, got 15% or so left yet and was wondering if that technique works for canthan map too.

99.1% Tyrian character.
I think I'm blind from comparing and flipping back and forth.
Shyft, ya got a keen eye.
Peek at these if you please.
I will work it small bit by small bit.
Any places you see on these two?

You make it sould like I got one keen eye. I have two
You're still missing:
-east wall of Haiju Lagoon;
-north wall of Jaya Bluffs;
-SW corner of Haiju Lagoon (uncover from inside Zen Daijun);
-east wall of Zen Daijun.
You'd be a lot further away from the title if you didn't open up the Monastery Overlook during the festival.

My image editing skills are meager at best, but I think I remember Leighwyn (or someone else) commenting that the technique does not work as well for Cantha because the fog "blends" much more closely with uncovered areas. I believe I read it somewhere in this thread, but don't have the time to go back through it and check for the posts right now.

Xenrath, I believe I read in the other thread that it doesn't work well for canthan maps because of the coloring differences being too similar between the terrain and the cloud (especially in the kurzik side)
Is there any way to get the rest of the map from Shiro's area? I went in and he banished me to one spot and was able to unlock a good % there, but he either won't banish me or keeps banishing me to the same spot. I need to get to those other 3 sides.

As it has already been stated, Shiro only banishes PCs to one 'banishment path' so all the other teleports are basically dummies. Though henchies get banished to a different path, that doesn't help us cartographers because we're not henchies
The only thing you can do to uncover the Imperial Sanctum is hug the walls of both the banishment path and the battle area. You need a partner for the first, but you can do the second on your own: just walk the edges without engaging Shiro and you'll uncover a good chunk.
Of course, the above is just speculation. I don't have a screenie of what you've already uncovered, so it's quite possible that you're not missing anything in there at all if you've explored it as fully as you say.

Great thanks. I was of the understanding that you needed all the paths. Will continue to work on it tonight.
I am not posting maps yet because I am still at least 15% away and know where to go. A guildie is at 99.5 or something and having problems and were working on Imperial Sanctum last night.

Dunno if this has been mentioned, but I had great trouble getting banished as a warrior. Somewhere in this topic someone stated it was based on lowest HP or weakness.
Well I tested this with a guildie on a dual run, and also tested Armor levels, and still no banishment. In the end I wondered if it was distance related. And Woosh, instant banish. Retry's proved this theory. So, you have to be the furthest away to get banished. (...imo...)
Perhaps someone else can prove / double check this.

in fact, when i played on my monk, i always did the HP check, i always was the lowest, with groups or with two. i kept getting banished RIGHT away when i came close to shiro (with my friend or the group staying back), or when i just came back from the banishment.
if only checked this as a monk though, not with anything else, so i dont know. but from MY experience, its the HP.

I found this topic at 98.6% and got another 1% using Leighwyns technique, so now I'm stumped at 99.6%! I need a new set of eyes on these two spots. Do you think there is still any fog there? If so, how can I get to it, since I have already gotten as close as I think I can in both places. (first one is north of aspenwood, second is in unwaking). Thanks in advance.

I'm in the middle of moving cross-country so I haven'tbeen able to update my map, but I HAVE filled in new spots and I WILL update it when I finally get the chance to. At least everyone here has Shyft to help them along in my absense

Oddly, I only got .2% from Jade Quarry. I don't know how I managed that, but I was paying particular attention to my score before and after I finally got in and i'm sure thats all I got. (I was probably at like, 98.21% before and ended at 98.49% hehehe)

Well, I got one dot from those on the Jaya Bluffs. Cleared them all and walked back and forth. It did give me a +.1%, though.
Next block.
I know that I don't have the Jade battle area. I'm working on finding a time when I can get in there.
Thanks again.

I'm at 99.4% - pretty sure I'm missing the northern edge of Imperial Sanctum (presumably the banishment areas)
I've also never been in Jade Quarry at all. Hopefully those combined will add up to the missing 0.6%, however, I can never get into the Quarry Nobody ever seems to be around on euro servers for that, on either luxon or kurzick side
Did anyone get 100% without ever going into Jade Quarry battle zone?
