Why isn't there a Hi Res cinematic like there was for Profecies and Factions? Did they give up on those for cost and time or what?

You see him later on in trailer after the transformation staring at his hands, with who is presumably Jora behind him. They both seem to be surprised by it, so shape-shifting is something they learn to do in the course of the game I guess?

Anyway, awesome trailer. Original musical theme ftw.

I think the locales got me the most excited. Some of the magical items and steam punk items of the asurans are really cool.
Plus the last scene of Gwen gave me goose bumps. Waiting with bated breath!!

I especially like the arrow that get's stuck in the throat of the charr. If we get that ingame... Rangers are going to get popular

Having looked at the new trailer, and at the images on Onlinewelten, I think that Gwen is going to be multi-profession.

In the trailer I would bet on her being a Ranger. The gloves are my main reason for saying that, as they look very much like existing Ranger gloves from the druids set I think.

In the pictures on Onlinewelten, she is probably an Elementalist, or possibly a Mesmer, but definitely not a Ranger.

So, if she is an NPC it looks like her profession and skills will change during the campaign, or if she can be used as a Hero, then we may finally get our multi-profission hero!

Just my ramblings as usual :-)

It may be a few days since last posting, but I finally got a chance to get on.

I honestly have mixed feelings about the new GW website layout. I personally think that they went with a whole marketing approach for the entire GW franchise on the main page. You got GWEN, Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and the bonus pack links that all lead to something dealing with enticing people to buy the game. I have no problem with this but they took out a lot of the main parts of the homepage that I always use. I know have to search around the site if I want to check out how the latest ladders look. I now have to go to Competive Play for that. I also liked the quick access to the Updates and Network pages. Super easy to find there on the homepage. I now have to go to Support for that. I also think they have been sort of slacking on posting information. I personally would like them to post weekend events like they use to "Double XP weekend, Green drop weekend, Double faction weekend, etc." About the only way I know is of course by logging on (which I do, but it would be nice to read about it and build up the anticipation). I mean, I like the new layout, I just hope they can incorporate some of the popular most used features that were on the homepage into the new layout so I don't have to go to 10000 different sections.
