Post Talk about the Ritualist Skills for GW:EN

first of all i have to say that I'm quite disapointed because of the lacks of proper Restoration skills.

But the skill i do like is ''Energic Was Lee Sha''
it seems to be good in allmost any way.

What are your toughts

The skills were placed onto the official wiki (wiki.guildwars.com) by Isaiah Cartwright‎, the guy at ANet responsible for skill balancing. Much talk has occured about every skill, and some have already been tweaked into less obviously overpowered versions from what was originally posted.

The actual link is http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...e_North_skills

and the PvE only skills have not been released.

Ghostly Weapon smiter. Gogo.

I'd be surprised if Ghostly dunt getten nerfed.

And for those of you wondering what I'm on about...

[skill]wielder's zeal[/skill][skill]wielder's remedy[/skill][skill]zealot's fire[/skill][skill]smite hex[/skill]... Then run Ghostly Weapon and Smite Condition. Insane condition removal on the melee, extra condition/hex removal, Smite damage. Good fun.

I do Like Pure Was Li Ming

10120

Spell. Hold Li Ming's ashes for 5...17...20 seconds. While you hold her ashes, Conditions on you expire 10...42...50% faster. When you drop her ashes, all allies within earshot lose 1...3...4 Conditions.

This skill would be great for PvP, and PvE due to the many condition removals after it's dropped on multiple team members and it's not an elite spell

I was pretty disappointed seeing the new skills. I was especially excited for new Ritualist and Monk skills to use for farming. But I guess both were left out. All the new skills are mainly aimed towards pvp and pve questing and missions. Barely anything that would be really useful for farming, especially without new elites. But I'm definately disappointed about the new Ritualist skills. Lets hope the Title skills will make up for most of them. Of course with that you will have to spend hours on end to level up each title to take advantage of the skills. Theres really only 14 new skills for each profession total. Pretty shi*tty deal, especially with no new Elites to play around with.

I personally don't give a crap about PvP, I think it ruins everything for the PvE part of game. PvE is the main point in playing Guildwars, but yet PvP controls most or all of the skills and nerfs. And it seems they made most of these new skills for PvP.

But farming builds will most likely stay almost the same, no new Elites to play around with. Just new alternative skills to add to same ol' builds.

In case you never noticed, many farming builds are based around non-elite skills. They only use whatever elite is best suited for dealing damage. Look at 55 monks or the Earth Tank builds.

Agony and Rejuvenation are awesome especially when combined with Signet of Creation. This should give these two spirits some good stay power during a fight.

Yes, I'm well aware of this. I make many builds myself... including the "Rt/Mo 330hp Vengeful Spirit Bonder". It would be nice to see some new Elites and maybe some new builds. I'm sure the title skills will be useful for farming... hopefully.

Mending Grip
Spell. Target ally is healed for 15...63...75 Health. If that ally is under the effects of a weapon Spell, that ally loses one Condition.

i suggest it remove a hex instead of a condition

the ritualist restoration skills are very powerful but conditional(always require spirits or holding items)
i hope ritualists have some team effect restoration skills like LoD(conditional surely)

Call me wierd, (it's ok, everyone does) but there was nothing I saw that is gonna encourage me to get out of my Minion Bombing Build. Spirits take too long to cast, too long to recharge, for too short of a lifetime. Yes, there are skills to alleviate that. But I prefer not to start with a weak base then build stronger as I go. Weapon spells are too defensive for me. I stopped Echo-chaining Fire spells when Factions came out, and Channeling is no different. I do miss the frequent explosions, though. I refuse to Splinter Barrage.

If anything, GWEN is going to allow me to enjoy what I do, for as long as I choose to do it. Am I a creature of habit? Yes. In fact, I enjoy a good grind. However, I hate PVP. Am I likely to eat my words when GWEN comes out, and again when GW2 make us all start over? Probably. :-p

Considering how much they have been trying to push people to play in groups, you shouldn't be shocked to see the new skills aimed at this.

A rit casting sundering weapon on a Dervish would make for a very nasty combo.

i pity that people will exploit Ritualists as Sundering spammers.

Heres an interesting combo: Energic Was Lee Sa
Empowerment and Spirit Channeling.
Alltough you have 5- Health degen, you will infact have about 10 Energy regen + extra energy

Energetic, Pure, and Spiritleech got buffed, only just found out today. Handy list for those who want to know what got changed. I'm so happy, they left Putrid Bile alone, lol.

I think weapon of aggression would work well on a dervish also. The thing about dervishes is that they attack slower than warriors and assassins but they strike adjacent targets, but weapon of aggression will boost their attack speed 33% which I think would make them attack faster than both other classes and adjacent enemies would be devastating in crowded tunnels.

Crowded tunnels, you say? Like perhaps... UNDERGROUND??

Oh man, I can just see it now: Dwarven Dervishes. (I don't care that Dwarves aren't a playable race, or that a mining pick isn't really a scythe weapon. It was a joke.)

What race you think would be best for MMing in GW2? Charr aggressiveness? Asuran intelligence? Ritualist Sylvari? Norn and Blood Golem?
