Default PvE skills and Warriors

I was just going over PvE skill we will have in GW:EN and I noticed that all of them except one is energy driven, and further more most of them have energy cost 10 or higher and cause exhaustion, now as we all know primary warriors have 20 basic energy and only 2 pips of energy regeneration so it will be very hard for them to use these skills effectively.

Where does it state that these skills cause exhaustion?

Where are these skills you are going over? Its probably for another class and not warriors.

theyre still changing a lot of details in EotN. they change the energy cost, the dmg, and the casting time of many skills. and who knows, maybe each skill will have 10 different forms, 1 for each profession.

These skills are thought of as having Exhaustion. This does hamper a warriors or an Assassins ability to use these skills casters only I guess. Kind of silly for PvE only skills. Looks like the Exhaustion nerf bat hits again.

Of the skills known
Asura skills
Asuran Scan 5 E (Dang! and I was looking forward to using this with my SIN)
Mental Block 10 E

Dwarf Skills
Breath of the Great Dwarf 10 E
Great Dwarf Armor ? E
Great Dwarf Weapon ? E
Light of Deldrimor ? E

Ebon Vanguard
Ebon Battle Standard of Courage 10 E
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor ? E
Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom ? E

And what's even worse except Mental Block and Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom, all of these skills are obviously ment to by used by "frontline characters" and yet when the use it get basically ass raped.

You know, I actually find that warriors are one of the classes LEAST affected by exhaustion. The reasons?

First, the warrior has another source of powering skills, being adrenaline. For a warrior who relies primarily on adrenal skills, energy is mostly irrelevant.

Second, the warrior's energy recharge rate isn't that much faster than exhaustion recovers anyway - exhaustion recovers at a rate equivalent to one arrow of regen, so hitting the exhaustion barrier doesn't actually cost you that much. If you're willing to do without a shield and have an appropriate secondary, you may even be able to grab a 15/-1 offhand and ignore exhaustion entirely.

Assassins and Dervishes - now they do both get hard, as each has a fairly low energy pool balanced by having means to replenish it quickly and they don't have the option to take an offhand - either can be expected to hit the exhaustion barrier repeatedly if they pick some up.

Oddly enough, when you go to the edit page, Exhaustion = n

Did the original data files these came from list Exhaustion?

If not, this is much ado about nothing. Probably user error in posting the descriptions of skills that don't technically even exist yet...

I think Mordakai caught it here - it's supposed to be "exhaustion = no", the template doesn't recognize y/n, only yes/no. Besides, all current skills that cause exhaustion mention it in the skill description, so why don't these have it in their description? (Yes, I know the descriptions were taken from gw.dat, but I've looked myself and they don't mention exhaustion at all.)

Stop worrying people - it's user error on the wiki, these skills do not cause exhaustion unless the description says so.

[edit] Besides, the screenshot of Asura Scan doesn't mention exhaustion.

You are correct, all of these skills are subject to change. SO we will see the final result in a few weeks.

I hardly use melee in PvE anyway, screws over aggro, PUG's and AI.

Can you just wait till the game comes out, maybe? Yes?

Seriously, Warriors have enough ways to gather huge amounts of Energy if really needed.

Oh, yeah, forgot about that.

Pretty much seals the deal for me: Until proven otherwise, none of these skills have Exhaustion.
