But now that I look at what he posted again and not so tired as yesterday, I also think that he was trying to help the OP, sorry, I was completely off-track.

Build: Bring as many curses, enchantments, conditions you want, but just remember you can't use any of them against Mallyx himself. In which case, make sure you have enough raw damage that you can take him down. Note that you can use the hexes and conditions against he Margonites and Torment group that he spawns. Bring multiple hard resses, bring some way to take care of the spirits quickly, don't bring superior runes on soft targets.

Strategy: Kite. He's melee, kiting has been the tried and true strategy against melee enemies since forever. Bring lots of health in case he uses Summoning Shadows and hits you. If he uses Wild Smash -> Shadow Smash you're probably dead, in which case res up before he can do it again.

This should be fairly obvious by now though after you read what his skills do, and the environment that you fight him in. My build, along with my two hero's builds can be found in the other thread just below this when we killed him the first time around. Pretty sure you can find the other five builds in that thread as well; you can figure out the attributes roughly on your own.

I'd just like to add there's really nothing special about the builds, they just abuse 3 ridiculously overpowered Sunspear skills. Like Avarre said earlier, it couldn't be anymore inside the box - Chant/Spirit/Weapon based defense is the obvious. He punishes you for using enchants, hexes, and conditions against him... so, don't! And generally avoid running silly things... Don't worry too much about speccing against him... we probably have geared our build too much to fight him. But running around + fast ressing does an awful lot of good vs him. He also hits for a lot less since the first time we fought him.

BTW, Yesitsrob, Trub, and Racthoh are excellent players. We took the 18 groups head on and our only real strategy besides a little discussion about the builds was to target the same thing. Our monks were excellent and did healing when needed, and we got tremendous damage and other support from our Rit and Necro(orders). I want to thank Helping Healing I Am and Slidje Inferis as well for making this a success as they too are excellent players and feel very privileged to have played with everyone on the team.

This was like my 7th time through to Mallyx after the change in July(first successful at Mallyx himself), and the trick here is to have builds that can take on the 18 groups and Mallyx. If you take ele and the tank with enchantments this will work well for the 18 groups, but will fail miserably with Mallyx (I know because these were many of the first attempts). A team can get to Mallyx with the standard tank, 3ele, 3mo, 1necro build, but you will not defeat Mallyx.

I have a Ele, Necro, and Monk still ready for citadel, but have come to the conclusion that the Ele and Necro will be support roles of sorts and the monk will be healing (there is a possiblity of smiting with monks as well). The 18 groups head on, IMO was by far the most challenging and darring. I am still amazed on how well we survived and how good the support players were, as I did not die once. The necro and other soft targets I believe died a number of times, the necro was the target of choice by Mallyx I believe because his health was so low.

The take aways for me is have a team build that can take the 18 groups head on. Have physical damage dealers and plenty of armor enhancing skills for the party as well as very good healers with healing skills. Have as little enchantments as possible in the skill bars as they will be useless against Mallyx. Target single enemies as a team and take out the targets that are the greatest threat first (Ki, Hearts, break down titans one at a time, etc.)

I do not have a paragon, but was truly impressed with the team build. I do not believe one paragon by itself will work well but more than one stringing skills. I do hope to get the Warrier Faction skill, but as a non-AB player gather factions has not been a priority and is a grind for me (as well as switching guilds recently from a Kurzick to Luxon)

I enjoy playing the game, but find selecting skills coordinating builds between players a chore, but that may be just me. I welcome suggestions and try to be flexible and make my skills compliment the other team members and would suggest the same for others.

good job guys!

I was playing with my Paragon a few weeks back with those title skills. My goal was to get the Paragon to Mallyx with as few actual players as possible using Heroes obviously. I was the paragon, 2 friends were a BiPer and a Burning/Interrupt ranger. We managed to go through City and Veil. We never had the time to go through the rest ever again.

You guys definitely pulled the feat and I congratulate you! I wanted to make use of "Go for the eyes" but I figured "They're on Fire!" is a must because of the raw damage output the mobs caused. From the screenshots, I have a pretty good idea what should be tweaked. Thanks! And maybe I can finally complete Mallyx with my monk. She's been stuck at citadel for a month.

Good job again!
