Ahh a friendly face, nice to see I'm not the only Adelaidian here , I have contemplated moving over to American servers to see if it makes any difference, however that would mean leaving behind all my guildies and mates. I can understand lag in Euro servers but when I am in International its normally fine, problem was that when the dragon festival hit it was chaos. Never have I seen such bad latency in International, was it a fluke that the festival happened right at the same time as some tech issues happened with inter dist? I doubt it, but the question still begs, will it happened again when GW:EN goes live?

In theory, the lag should be better then when they released NF or Factions. After all, there won't be too many "new" players for GW:EN. Since its an expansion and not a seperate chapter, it will only be repeat customers who already have an account showing up (no more districts full of level 17 assassins in Viznuah Square).
