Default Tomb of Primeval Kings question

Okay - I'm ascendent (which I'm not sure gets me discounts at walmart and whatnot, but okay), and I've got a bit of game exp - but I'm getting TRASHED everytime I hit the underworld - I'm a Necro/Ranger 20th lvl, and looking for advice on what would be my best strategy going into the underworld...thus far I've tried to charge straight ahead (which blasted me to...well...the underworld) and I've tried to tiptoe (which blasted me to...you got it...the underworld). Each time I've gone w/ Henchies, but seems like the only teams being built are for Hard Mode...

Any ideas would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks

The most common groups that go in there are Barrager/Pet groups

That involves 5 Rangers with Barrage and pets
2 Necros, one is a Orders necro while the other is a MM
1 monk

Hench and even Heroes are not too good for Tombs. Monsters have a unique skill, and mobs can be quite large if you don't know the pop ups. Go to Wiki and read up on it, especially the monster skill Fingers of Chaos.

Necro can easily join a PUG, but only if you run MM or Orders.

And just in case, if you didn't know, it is not essential for main storyline (I don't know if you knew this from your op)

Occasionally someone will run SS, but tombs is a bad place for anyone new wanting to join a non-bp group...

It's true, b/p groups are the most common party search I ever hear when doing tombs...I've only gone 1/2way through scarred earth (2nd level) with heroes/henchies (R/any <-- me), but I have to say doing PUG's has been a pleasant experience there so far, more so than anywhere else in all 3 campaigns. Every PUG I've done in tombs has been b/p (I'm a R/Rt with ww or fw), and we always finish, even in HM. The key is to have a good necro and monk. So long as either of these two don't quit, you can even finish with 7 in a party (with a splinter barrager quitting)...Work on MM or Orders and you'll always be in demand there...unless anet nerfs.

Hope this helps

completing tombs can take up to 2 hours. once ur done ur happy
but.. there is a slight change u will not get a green.
most likelly u will get a green however, so once u do hope its a victos axe, cause thats that only thing that is still worth anything, and its the one that dropes least
thats why the only thing u see there now is hard mode.
