Default Point of Entry

With the sneak peak comming up in just a few days I'm wondering which city people are going to choose to enter GW:EN through. I doubt it makes a difference which city u go through but I'm just curious where ppl might gather while waiting to enter 10 or 20 mins before access becomes available.

Personally I'm going to be going in through Lion's Arch... just start right off in Tyria

Good point. Surely they scaled the respective mini-missions to accommodate different party sizes? I'll probably be taking my 26 month old Tyrian ranger through LA for nostalgic reasons, but from what I can tell from the videos the area under Kaineng looks awesome, so I hope we can go back and do the other missions.

Also most likely start from Kaineng Centre.
A partysize of 8 and lv20 henchmens in Kaineng Centre should make life much easier than starting from LA or Kamadan.

Also since we are only using existing character, I'll also start with my least-used character just in case if any accidents should occur... (ie. picked Goren instead of Norgu on my first character in Nightfall )

Last time around they did - the Lions Arch mission to get to Kamadan was scaled a lot lower than the trip from Kaineng. From Kamadan will probably be about the same as LA - you'd be looking at a 4-person party from Kamadan, but it's a safe assumption that people coming from Kamadan will be bringing fully-levelled heroes, while someone coming from Lion's Arch may still be trying to hench it.

I'd rather not have the experience ruined by other playes. That's the reason I stopped playing to begin with. The only reason I started playing again was because of the addition of Heroes. I do play the game with a friend, sometimes two, but Heroes means we can play it uninterrupted by ourselves, without worrying about anyone else being a jerk.

If you prefer playing with humans, go ahead. But I won't be going anywhere near a PUG for the entire game.

Well, if you ask me, it's the wrong attitude to think that one person's choice is the wrong one. If people want to go with AI, let them. It's their choice. They play the game how they enjoy it.

Anyway, I will definitely be going through Lion's Arch the first time. I'll be taking my main, my ranger, who is Tyrian born, so it seems fitting. I don't think it'll be any harder going from Tyria than from Cantha. After all, almost everybody will have level 20 heroes, and, as has already been mentioned, the trip from LA will be scaled down in terms of difficulty, just like what happened with NF.

More people = more bad people = more bad groups. Guildies > Henchies/heroes > PUG.

I don't know where I'll be entering from. Whatever continent my warrior is when the event starts I guess.

i agree!

PUG = one member (normally the tank) stops what hes doing to shout at someone else, thinking hes in charge and running the show. whilst hes doing this the mobs swarm past him and take out a caster. The idiotank (henceforth called arrogant shouty person) blames the monk...again stopping everything hes doing to shout 'OMG NOOB!'

At this point the monk's so fed up of being shouted and screamed instructions from this random he decided to help out, that he stops healing mr arrogant shouty person...who dies...as does the rest of the PUG

I think i'll take my heroes from Kamadan...I started in Kamadan so it makes sense to me If i can, i'll take guildies

I'll be leaving from each city with a different character and take 3 different routes through the expansion [as allowed while still gaining the heros on each char.] I think it'll be cool way to get an indepth look at every corner of the whole expansion.

I have 2 main characters and a Lvl 20 Ele that I maxed and then never played again. It'll be fun to learn how to play an Elementalist and it'll be kind of like getting a new profession for the expansion .

Edit: @ Argon - This Tombs monk only heals those who know WTF they are doing and only rezzes the arrogant shouty persons when I get around to it after we finish pwning the mobs .

Although the AI cannot adapt to specific situations, you know they'll always be doing their job and you know they won't leave. In a pug, you never know what some idiot thinking he's an idiot will pull, which is the case with many pugs.

Do you even have a choice? Isn't it going to be that you can only get the quest from the game where the character was made in?

i assume theres a choice

Example:
yesterday, I took my Factions newbie necro to LA

from LA I took the Tyrian quest to Elona (despite being from factions)

only probem I had is that the Tyrian-Elona quest would not display until I abandoned the Factions-Elona quest
