Maybe it gets better in later areas, but in the first couple, it seems I go rather long distances without any enemies, and large parts of the map will have no enemies to fight. Especially a bit frustrating with the titles.

Good example of this.

In Nightfall you can easily max out the # of undead you can kill wich is 200 while wurm farming in desolation. Yet here it's maybe 100-150 max, if that in the first two areas.

Is it possible that perhaps there are fewer enemies to allow people during the preview to get farther ahead?

(no idea for sure, but it seems like it might be plasuable)

It had 350 enemies (almost on the dot)

My main is in the end of NF trying to finish the game befre GWEN comes out. I don't want to hear anything about a request for more mobs.

Smaller groups of enemies + fewer enemies = fewer farming (or, better inefficient farming). That's what ArenaNet wants

Heh well ANET's always been a bit braindead in the whole farming catagory. Gee lets go put out items worth millions of gold and then make it impossible for most players to ever get those items by removing any and all ways to get them. Okay there are other ways but they seriously screw up any way for most players to get.

Theres nothing more annoying than wading through enemies like you would through tar. This is a nice break, I REALLY like this.

We're hunters now, not farmers.

I say they DONT fill the areas with enemies, I hated that in NF.

So maybe that's the point; maybe they're trying to keep people from farming stuff all to hell during the preview (or even in general).

Me, I'm going to get as far as possible without the pain of constant mobs...

Heh overdoing areas is fine...but when I walk for 2 minuets between groups of enemies at time, it's a bit underpopulated.

Prime example, outside the hold, once you kill the groups right outside of the hold there is a large gap before you reach the elementals, and a even larger gap before you run into the giants a bit further if you go directly towards the arrow for normbear.

Heh well one thing though..:> The lack of enemies really makes getting norm points a bit tough, since you just get the max bonus for hunting and you've got nothing left to kill. *laughs* i got the double reputation points bonus *resets every time you kill something lasts 45 seconds* And that was the LAST mob in the entire map and had only just killed like 100.

i am quite happy the way the mobs are
their is a vanguard quest where u get absolutely swamped quite early on

always wondered y it says 'masters' quest :P

Me too..:> I've found that many 'master' quests are a joke. Heh look at some in Desolation, one of the so called master quests I completed wurm farming with just me and koss.
