I thought it was wonderful, and a lot of fun. The Bison thing will work itself out in time, once a few builds get flashed around. Personally, I thought it was easy with anything / ritualist, and if you interrupted his form it was super easy. Several of us in our guild got the crown within the first hour of trying it.

Hero AI is always going to be a problem. I'll never understand why the monsters run away from AOE spells, while my heroes / henchmen just stand in them.

Still, it was a great preview event and it looks to be a great game!

About GWEN / New things and New Wishes:

Character Voices for NPCs (Merchant, Collectors, Etc) - Love it... wish all the NPCs talked!

Killroy Stonekin - He needs a verbal audio clip of his bonzai "Leeeeerrrrooooooyyyy Sssttttooonnnneekiiinnn!!!" Maybe it won't play very often but it would be very nice to hear him go nuts.

Dwarven Boxing - Brass Knuckles should auto equip... not a major issue but confusing for new GWEN players.

Adaptive Music for Battles - Works well... nice music.

All the new GWEN skills are usable by players only, not Heroes - Wishing that heroes could use these skills that are unlocked...

Dwarven Boxing Skills - Newly gained skills like Ear Bite and Low Blow are not usable WHILE in later Dwarven Boxing matches. Would be very nice to be allowed to use them while boxing. Only makes sense.

Allow for adaptive player groups: Right now we can have only 3 heroes and 4 henchmen. If it was adaptive and you only used Heroes... could we just have 4-5 heroes and no henchmen? Seriously, Hench are so obsolete now. Personally, I would rather have 5 good heroes than 3 heroes and 4 unworthy henchies.

More GUI Fixes: Allow for CTRL and ALT to be active while the CTRL+SHIFT+H (hide user interface) is active. Also allow the whole keyboard to function (which it does not while in no-gui mode). It is very nice to play with no gui and still be able to play if you know your keys.

Add in sound for Xunai Chest : When accessing the Xunani storage chest, add in a chest opening sound. Just adds to the game depth.

Allow for Pet Management: At least allow for storage of up to 3 pets. It would be nice to invest in a 2nd pet but I can't right now fearing I will lose my Elder White Tiger. Simple addition, pet storage.

Storage: Yes we need more... Even with the 4 tabs we have right now, it is not enough to support my 8 characters, multiple outfits, collections, and storage of many new items. If I had to pay $9.99 for double storage, I would pay for this, as would many many people!

Monument of Heroes: This whole section should be account based and show characters therein. When it is tied to sole characters, like minipets, it really becomes a critical collector issue. Most of the community cannot collect minipets on all their characters... why not make it account based and global like that? Armors... same way...

Eagle and the Phoenix are way too large: They fly around like on a rail... fixed at a hover height which really looks bad. I would rather have a smaller mesh that could look like it wasn't on a fixed height than what is current.

NPC AI / Formations Command - Hench and Heroes should avoid traps better and run out of AOE areas... Monsters do it right? A simple calculation should be achieved to tell the AI (Party) where the front line, middle line and back line are. Casters should sit in the back line, Melee in the front line and everyone else in between. What about adding a formation command where you can set your party up to be in a special formation stance? That would be pretty easy to do and allow everyone the ability to customize how they want the party to be set during combat. Hmm formation settings... that really could help alot!

The new GWEN storyline, graphics and additions are amazing... I love EoTN very much... I am sure there will be alot of tweaks, nerfs, complaints, praises and such... maybe Anet will get in some good community requests before deciding to focus 100% to GW2...

Can't wait for the real product in a day or so...

Loved it but tbh there was alot of room for improvement in both HoM and Hero AI, however more than any of the 2 big downfalls the huge improvement in monster skills was VERY welcome imo.

I like these two suggested ideas the most. I've haven't had so much fun in awhile. "Kiiiiilllroooyyyyy StoooneKiiiiinnnnn!!". Nice to get away from grinding for titles and the such.

I agree with everything you say, Chthon. Nice post!

What are the odds that they will buff the "weaker" EotN PvE skills?

Thanks!

From what I have experienced:
1. The NCPs: I like how they have voices when you talk to them for a quest, trade or just for fun. Sometimes I put the sound in a different language and it's pretty fun to hear and makes the interaction more interesting.

2. Titles: The titles for Norn, Dwarven, Ebon and Asura is very well thought out but could use a bit of improvement. It is easy to get the points but I think after a certain level like 8 or so it should be account based so there would be a less need to grind # of characters you have and add some extra bonuses the higher the rank you get.

3. Henchmen AI: Definitely needs improvement. They need to be a bit more smarter and when there's an AoE in effect, they need to get away from it instead of bunching up. I have to flag them around every time I see a drake or an imp spitting out AoE and hate to see my henchies bunch up taking the hits.

4. HoM: It was really underwhelming to see that I do not get credit for PVE titles, I worked hard to get my cartography and Protector titles and I would be happy to see them displayed like they have for PVP. The mini pets are the biggest issue for me because of the customization to one specific character and the Heroes had me all sad. I have almost all the heroes and I didn't bother getting them upgrades and it pains me to see that they have to be upgraded for the statues to come up. Not that it's a big deal but to get them for 10 heroes and you get 10 more, it's just too much for me. And last, the armors, I like how it is set up but the display does not reflect the profession, also it hurts for the people who like to mix armor styles than buying whole sets (I do this too). It penalizes them because they want to look original than having to see 100 other people with the same look and it does get boring and expensive! I think ANET needs to look at the HoM more to help improve it.

Overall I love the story so far and I like the execution of it but Anet really, really needs to fix up HoM because I thought it would be account based but in turn it's per character and the HoM is just not what we had in mind from all the hype.

I really enjoyed most of the preview. I do have my gripes as well.

1. Too many reskins or redone monsters from other campaigns. I would of like to have seen new monsters instead of the same ol ones that are different color.

2. Dungeon Bosses. The bosses at the end of the dungeons are again, just redone monsters from before. I dont want to finish a dungeon just to fight a monster i have been killing over and over just to get there. ex, worms, ice golems. ect.. They should be original looking, like urgoz or so forth.

3. Story line is kinda weak. You just get thrown around really fast in the storyline without a lot of explanation. imo

4. The Norn armor is awful, and doesnt require a high enough title and a high amount of materials to craft. This is end game stuff, it should cost alot more than 30-35fur to craft and should be more prestigeous.

5. Rare stand alone pieces. Why are they considered "rare" i.e. glacial gloves? Its sooo easy to obtain, they shouldnt be. They should be something to show off and worth your time.

Again this is all my opinion, alot of people like the Norn armor. I find the ranger and rit ok. But you have to remember, GW:EN is for high level characters and end game content. There are 3 other armor sets, i hope they are better imo.
