You should try playing CS:S, GW:NF is actually quite well polished imo, at least compared to so many other games.

Quit complaining or Quit GuildWars

A game like guildwars can never be 100% bugsafe (actually I really cant remember ANY game that hasnt been updated after a few days of release, ok maybe 'Checkers' or 'Chess'). Anyway, Guildwars is simply too big to extensively test everything. If you want a 99,99% bugfree game, you will need to wait 5 years for a game to be released.

Quit complaining or Quit GuildWars

BTW: im not sure if they Sunspear title is bugged, maybe it is meant this way. You can still achieve the max title by doing the quests, which will make it more grinding title. Anyway a title easy to achieve would be a LAME title wouldnt it? Pointing at ppl saying Lucky/unlucky/PvP titles are impossible.

Between the times i have the KoBD on and the elite title on (220 skills thus far) many people have recognized and congradulated me for them. Honestly, the achievement is enough reward for me. With all 3 maps and protector titles I'm working toward People Know Me simply because i enjoy it. None the less, other then a couple of titles (like drunk, lucky/unlucky and before the nerf, lightbringer) all the other titles require a decent amount of time and effort to be able to claim. Even the afk'ing "Protector of Ascalon" requires a superior amount time and effort. I know a lot of people think titles are stupid or easy to earn, but i see very very few with KoBD because it takes a good deal of dedication.

Yay - someone who seems to have the right attitude about KoBD.

I too get congratulated on some of my Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer title from time to time and it is quite nice...it's a bit of recognition for all your effort...also it proves there are nice people still in this game. Problem is, recently I've told some people I hope to get KoBD in the not too distant future and I've been ranted at for it. I keep getting told that KoBD is going be become too common...it's as though there is an elite club of KoBD title holders and they don't want anyone else to join... If people like that want to continue to feel like "teh l33tz0rZ" PKM is the way forwards. I'm certainly not going to give up on KoBD because someone else thinks it will devalue their title!

You're right. KoBD takes a lot of effort to get and I am not an AFKer...I hate that and I, probably wrongly, harshly rant at people in missions when they go AFK to try to get through the mission. It just winds me up. I am currently working on Elonian GMC, I am at 90.4% at the moment, hope to get to 95% by the end of this evening. It's tough, although the more annoying side of going for GMC title is some of the enemies you have to kill on your way round. I'm not against slaughtering my way around the map, don't get me wrong, but it's the sheer amount of irritating enemies that annoys me. One or two properly hard mobs here and there I wouldn't mind...but instead we get annoying little mobs of mandragor and insects with all manner of enchantment removal skills (I'm an ele) and, easy as they are to kill...EVERY step you take makes more spring up and I sometimes think "is it worth it?"...well only just. No doubt someone will come back and say I should be prepared to do that to gain that title and...evidently I am otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. The thing is I would much rather spend 30 minutes mapping an area with 2 or 3 challenging mobs than 30 minutes mapping an area with hundreds upon hundreds of little annoying insects - especially since I no longer get sunspear points for them. That's all I'm saying.

Sorry about that! More on-topic, I will be interested to see what on earth will happen about the sunspear title track... The majority of us without the forsight to kill self-ressing mobs over and over are a little screwed now so I'm curious as to what they will do to help us get to the top level. I still have a fair few quests to give me sunspear points...but not 7.5k worth of sunspear points!

So do we get any clues as to where other than "Desolation" ? I'm already screwed with my paraon (r8 before I even got to desolation) but my Ranger would sure be interested in knowing where ya did that.... I'm assuming it wasnt an afk-type of farming, right?

Read all the above. This is just my two cents worth of IMHO.

The methods to get to Spearmarshal are interesting, but sound too much like work and too little like gameplay for me.

ANet should consider that they introduce a feature that is *fun* for players who enjoy getting a blessing from a priest or whatever before going out. Then all that suddenly goes away. Suddenly the agents are just saying have a nice day or some such. Some of their dialogues are blank.

To the average player like me, it makes the game have a broken feeling to it.

I know for sure you cant get any points for faming with a lover lvl person. Even if he has a blessing you dont get anything.

I personally didnt complete all quests yet. But im pretty sure you cant get enough at the moment ether.
So the only possible way is to do a one run farm.

Default R8 Sunspear Castellan - How to earn more Points

Read following if you are stuck at R8(Sunspear Castellan) and waiting for the update.

Firstly here are the facts;
1. Currently no NCP will give you blessing once you reach R8.
2. Anet(Gaile Grey) said this wasn't a bug, but it was done intenionally. (probabaly so it wouldn't be too easy to max the title)
3. Anet(Gaile Grey) said more direct route will be open with the update.. but we are still waiting.

So now the solutions;
1. According to at least 2 different people in this thread, you can still earn points after R8 by playing with R7 or below.
According to them, you still don't get blessing but you can still earn point. They said it didn't work in some areas, I was told that it works in Desolation areas.
Now I've tried this with different people in many different areas but I didn't earn single point. However I think it still might work if I changed few things. I was the leader when I tried with different people, but it might have worked if I wasn't the leader and/or if there were more than one <R7. I'm going to try this later and I will post the results here.

2. Repeatable quests, according to wiki u can get R9 by doing quests but slower. I haven't done every single quest yet. There might be quests you can earn points during or cancel the quest after you earn the points. Or you might get repeatable points if do the quest with another player, etc.
e.g. Insatiable Appetite (last quest given by Chuno in Marga Coast) is repeatable but u don't earn sunspear points.

3. Send bug report to Anet. They'll prob fix it sooner if they get enough reports.

I don't think Sunspear title will be hard to max once they update it. I don't see any points and many people have slipped pass already using R7 res method and they still haven't fixed that or the lightbringer method for that matter.

I just hope new update will be available soon cos i think all these bugs can be fixed very easily.

R8 Sunspear;
Allow blessing after R8 so people can still earn points. or Make a repeatable quests to earn points, like ones in faction for kurzick/luxon points. They don't even have to make a new quest, just change one of current quest to repeatable.

R7 Sunspear Res Method;
Don't allow extra points for res kill, it's already set to no extra drops or exp from res kill.

Lightbringer Method;
Don't allow extra points for duplicate kill, it's already set so no extra drops from duplicate kill.

All they have to do is just change few lines in program.. to fix All these bugs.

Its not a bug. Its intentional. You will be able to max it during a later (Christmas Approx I think Gaile said; the same update which willbring the Elite Mission) update. Why not work on your Grandmaster Cartographer Title/Protector of Elona instead, hmmm?

Tried again with R7 outside Gates of Desolation and Crystal Outlook but it didn't work. I wasn't the leader this time, but didn't get to try with more than one person(below R7) in team.

Anyone found a way to earn points after R8?

Anyone having trouble where the blessings give sunspear points but not double XP anymore? My friend and I were trying to level ourselves and our heroes and he complained it was taking so long because the XP was not doubled from the sunspear blessing. Leveling did seem to be taking forever, and I thought maybe the blessings giving double XP would work again if we rezoned, but it didn't help. We also restarted GW and logged in again and the blessings still did not give double XP.

The skale blessing should have been giving us 32 XP whenever we killed the level 15 skales, but instead it was only giving 16 XP, the same amount as if we did not have the blessing. Same with the insect blessing and level 15 nephilias or whatever the spiders are called.

I know this has been asked before, but would you mind sharing the location? I'm at a loss since the only place I can find is RIGHT outside of Gates and was wondering if there are any other areas that I can do this. Thanks.

How about finding a monster that resurrects other monsters that give sunspear points. Just wait for the Monk monster to rez others and keep killing them. Is that a good way to farm for Spearmarshal?

Read Fear's post and go meet your undead friends just outside the Waste lands were the worms are. I farm those things for points. They give you 7 a kill and they ress. If you do kill the hole group no worries there are 3 more running around that you can pull with a long bow.

Good luck. It will take a crap load of time.

This is the one thing I don't like about Nightfall and Lightbringer points and what purpose does it serve.I like the way it was done in Factions way better.
