Default _____$#!%! Our Wisdom Titles Are Worthless!_____

With the recent release of GW:EN, I noticed a new [Consumables] trader where you can purchase a 'Perfect Salvage Kit' that removes ALL chances of destroying what you salvage.

So what good does a MAXED Wisdom title do me now?!?

If you DO have a higher-end item you want to change the mods to, you wouldn't dare use anything BUT the NEW 'Perfect Salvage Kit'... and the folks that have played long enough to identify 10,000 items generally don't care much if lower-end items are destroyed or not after removing a part... the extra 100g from the merchant is trivial.

I suggest that the Wisdom title's benefit be changed from '% Salvage Increase' to '% Lockpick Retention.' Can't a certain level of wisdom be used in locksmithy to retain a lockpick???

Notes:
The percentages will need to be adjusted slightly to allow the Treasure Hunter, Wisdom, and Lucky title's benefits to stack without giving a retention rate that is to high...

What are your thoughts???

Well, it still saves you money (you might not care about destroying low end item but they are basically gold. i dont say no to extra gold.)

Besides, perfect salvage kits cost skillpoints and once everyone converted their skillpoints to kits/grails/res scrolls, they are going to get a lot less common.

So far I've seen you make two threads on this in seperate forums. Riverside and here. So I'll respond to the one here.

/notsigned for reasons stated on your OTHER thread.

QFT. A lot of people will say having the Consumables cost a skill point is no big deal because they have so many skill points already. But just wait the buying frenzie is over. Perfect Salvages are going to be a bit valuble and you will still want to use that Wisdom bonus for some mods. Also, Perfect Salvage only have 5(?) uses.

It would be nice to see the Wisdom title give a bonus chance of salvaging rare materials instead of common though.

Why did you feel the need to post this in 2 different places?

Oh well...for the hit of the whole fruit:

Also, as nice as it would be to have an obscenely high chance to retain lockpicks I feel things are fine as they are so...
