Default "Character Development Beyond Level 20"

From GuildWiki:

Quote:
Eye of the North does not include any new professions. James Phinney has stated that Eye of the North will involve character development beyond level 20. However, Gaile Gray has clarified that this extended character development will not increase the actual level cap.
Now that the full version's out, has anyone ascertained what this cryptic comment means?

the original saying level up was a misquote/mistake.

Gaile and others have stated flatly no level up in GWEN

It says that already, and anyway no one would have reasonably expected them to raise the level cap at this point. No, what I want to know is what IS meant by that statement. That is what manner of "character development" was he actually alluding to?

Oh, or is it just that he meant GW2 and not GWEN, and he actually was talking about actual higher levels. That'd suck.

reputation

pve skills

others maybe

just a guess on those

EDIT

GW2 HAS BEEN STATED FROM THE HEAD DESIGNER THAT A MEANINGFUL LEVEL 100+ WILL BE IN GW2 ALONG WITH A STRONG SIDEKICKING SYSTEM ALLOWING LOWER LEVELS TO JOIN A MISSION WITH HIGHER LEVELS AND NOT DIE INSTANTLY

The term "characted developement" is completely subjective and depends on your own interpretation. I personally see that as titles, earning more skills etc etc.

Nothing. Just fancy talk for PvE junk. GWEN has no additional development beyond level 20. Nothing we haven't seen already anyway.
