Dammit, RPG'ers that take things too seriously make me nauseous. It should be of no concern to anyone else if a player chooses to change their appearance. If someone ends up spending more time editing their character, than playing the game - that's their business.

Hair stylist - hell yes, but I'd rather have a way back to the character editor, without losing progress. There's no reason I can fathom that Anet couldn't simply add an "edit" character option. It would have saved me a hell of a lot of restarts over the last couple of years and I seriously doubt it would take much development time.

Either that or simply pool the campaign creation. That way you could have any hair, skin, or face you wanted for any character in any campaign.

I'd love to change my hair in-game its not like its hard to in r/l lol

I'm sure scissors have been invented, and we all know you can get dye and it would be nice to try out some of the factions/nightfall styles on my ranger, shes not the young peppy little girl that she used to be

When the game was first released (prophecies) within about a week, there were three big request for the game as far as I can remember:
1)Auction House -we know we won't be getting this in gw1.
2)Reconnects -we got this already.
3)Hair dyes/stylist.

I agree 100% with the previous poster who said he would buy GWEN if it only contained a hair stylist. I've been playing my ele for over 2 years, re-rolling is not an option. Haven't you realised one of the reasons ANet is making an expansion for lvl20 characters is because people like to play their existing characters not re-roll all the time?

Its not a point of I don't like the choices I made either, in fact I still think my ele looks awesome (and hardly ever come across a twin). It's simply a case that after 2 years, I'd like a change. Because being able to change your hair style/colour would add something to the game for me, and a lot of other people. Same reason I have more than one set of armour, the same reason dyes are in the game in the first place - oh, but no one complains about them.

There's no valid argument against it, it wont effect the balance of the game, it can add another gold sink. The only possible argument against it is technical issues, and ANet are the only ones that can comment on that.

I do think before I post and ,well that is the players problem they put so much effort into a char and they don't like the hair it has and always will be the players choice.I agree with the wigs, like I said earlier it would satisfy everyones petty need/want for a useless hair changeing NPC they could always add this NPC to the GH

In some cases that choice was made over two years ago, before a lot of the newer hair styles and faces were added with Factions and Nightfall. I made my Warrior in Prophecies back when the game was first released, I've had him far too long now to just restart a new one, but I'd really like to use some of the Factions hairstyles that weren't available when I first started.

Yeah I'm against a hair stylist.. it just doesn't isn't the same character if you change someonething about it's appearance.. even if it is just the hair. That's my opinion.. the only thing I would be kind of okay with is being able to dye your hair something... otherwise you should have just put more thought into the orginal creation of the character.

Actauly from an RP aspect hair styling even DEEPENs the RP effect. Face changing, no, but hairstyling seems appropriate.

As someone who has 5 of my 8 characters Tyrian born, I beg to differ. I'd LOVE Factions and NF hair on some of my other characters, but they were created before the expansion so I'm stuck with it. You can get your hair cut and dyed in real life, why not in game?

If you are wanting to change your chars hair in a game to make it seem more r/l you seriously need to find something else to do IMO. I have previously posted "if you don't like your hair make a new char" If you have a great or expensive title on that char well that is the players fault I know a person has had chances to remake a character and get the title for them, so the whole" what bout all the progress" BS the player should have thought of that before they got the title, armor,or weapons(costomized) and not be complaing about how they don't like their characters hair find somethign else to do in the game this isn't a fasion show (for most people).

What's next? "Auction house? AUCTION HOUSE? This is madness! Why implement a useless npc/system where the game sell your items for you? This is BS! Players put in more effort and work harder to sell their items!"

A fashion show Guild Wars may not be, but there is nothing wrong with variety and the ability to change. People put lots of time and work into their characters, but down the road they may want to alter hairstyle and color. There is nothing wrong with this.

But hey, let's all adopt White knight lord's way of thinking, since it would just be all so pointless. Let's get rid of all the different armor sets, the dye system, all the weapon and item skins, the hairstyles, height slider and skin/hair colors in the CSS and anything else that attempts to make each chara look somewhat unique!

A chara with numerous maxed-out titles, that's been around for months or years, which probably has 2 or 3 armor sets, shouldn't have to be re-rolled just to change hair, this option should have been available from day one. It's still not too late to add said option. People usually do think things out in the beginning, but people change... well, some of them do. What is so wrong with adding a Stylist or Barber to the game?

You know, do us a favor White... go back to the Battle Isles. By the way you sound, that seems to be where you came from. Progress means nothing, except for precious account-wide PvP titles and chara can just be re-rolled on a whim. But hey, everything's a clone there, the chara, the builds and the thinking.

Though it would be amazing, and I don't see why not. In the past I realized every now-and-then that my Ritualist had the single, most foul hair-style I could've ever chosen, which is why I kept a mask over his face.

First of all your sarcasm is very pathetic and sad. Second Raven the last part of your comment made no sense.Third I never said get rid of armor, weapons, titles, height adjustment, or systems that make a char unique basically said don't put in the effort on a char if you will not be satisfied with any small dumb detail that you do have the power to change but folks insist on nagging bout this subject, folks are asking for a NPC that would do no benefit and will most likely not come so that is it.

You obviously couldn't care less about this subject, and think adding a way to change hair is completely useless, so I can only assume that your sole reason for continuing to read and post on this thread is to argue and label other people's wants as stupid.

I seriously think you need a new hobby.

On-topic, I'm perfectly happy with all of my characters and their hair, but I think this would be a great addition. More choices FTW!

My monk was already Guardian of Cantha and Guardian of Elona and working on Guardian of Tyria (I don't understand the phrasing "the player's fault" - I don't think any blame needs to be assigned where titles are concerned) when an alliance buddy said "Hey Rose, what's that on top of your head? It looks like... a giant poo." Ever since then, with certain alliance buddies it's all I hear from them. It would be nice if she could let her hair down out of the big bun because now when I look at it I totally see what they mean, it DOES look a little like poor Nessa has a poo on her head. There is no WAY I am going to re-roll my monk now. This is not to say I will pout, sigh or moan if there aren't options to change your hair in GW:EN. I just think it would be a nice feature. A nice feature that I would probably use.

I don't really care much for a hair stylist, but I hope that they can add in a plastic surgeon NPC of some sort for faces too.. some of my characters have the most deformed faces ever. An NPC that changes names would be nice too..

Lol, my wish to change hair is purely cosmetic. I love my characters and have grown attached to them. I just hated that there was very little scope for long hair in NF. Most characters had their hair up, or it was short, so it would have been nice having some more options fr them at least. The other reason is a completely girly one...I like NF 15k monk armours, but they look TERRIBLE with the NF characters looks. Although naturally that is just my opinion. I DID start a brand new Tyrian monk just so that I could get her primeval armour from NF, but it would have been great to NOT have to do that and just be able to change her hair so it looked better with the armour...

Girly, but hey, girls play this game too you know...
