Can anyone confirm if this can ONLY be done with Tyrian characters?

I don't see why that would be the case ... couldn't you just make a new Tyrian character (throwaway) to grab the Tapestry? It requires that you own Proph, but I don't see why it would require a Tyrian character specifically.

Well, from a Lore point of view, it would make sense for the toon to be tyrian. That way, all the history between the character and Gwen would be factual. After all, NF or Factions chars don't go to Pre.

It'd be funny if she used it with the /flute command.

Wait... If THAT's Gwen's flute, then who does THIS belong to?! *holds up broken flute*

I've been carrying around this stupid piece-of-junk for years!

I can confirm that the quest - "Then and Now, here and there" which leads back to ascalon and the flute reward, requires the Tapestry shred to be in your inventory

"Fire and Pain", the other quest she gives requires the preserved iris flower. I have not completed this yet but I get the impression that it is just a bonus quest and is not Gwen related.

The broken flute and red iris flowers serve no purpose.

She took the red iris flower from me, not the preserved.

I did the master quest with heroes, really wasnt that tough....definitely worth it though. The rose focus offhand (green item, like the flute) looks really sweet, liek a single red rose....will post a screeny later. its req9 fast casting, halves skill recharge of spells 10% and plus 30 health.

To give which quest?

I entered with all four items - dropped them all and systematically placed them one at a time in my inventory to see which quests she offered.

With just the red iris flower, she didn't offer me any quests, same with the broken flute.

The shred is definately for the Then and now quest (Flute), as indicated by the dialog.

Perhaps it only works with a tyrian for the normal red iris flower. The preserved one might be a way for non-tyrians to get something out of gwen, without getting into the ascalonian quest (and all of Gwen's bonding moments with the player that goes with it :P).

That was her first flute. She eludes to it in the quest dialog when you goto her house.

As for the other quest she took my preserved red iris flower. I didn't have a red iris flower on me. So maybe if you are holding both it takes a non preserved one. I'm also a tyrian for reference.

I finished the Fire and pain quest and this is what the skin for the green item you get from it looks like. Females will probably want it on their mesmer.

req 9 fast casting, +12 energy, 10% halves casting time with +30 health
