Curse

after having completed this quest, I wanted to help some guildies thru it but I seem unable to repeat it. Has anyone been able to do so and couple you please provide any insight as to why I can't redo this? I get down the the barrel guy and he wont gimme the time of day!

buy the way heres what all I tried:
- returned to the scry pool hoping to get the quest again
- turned in my hero book for a blank one and placed my master dungeon book in storage
- had someone with the quest lead the party
- had the people with the real quest abandon it and retake it from jalis once inside
- tried to retake it from jalis myself but he only offers me the opportunity to fight destroyers (the quest after the one I want to help with)

...so is this bugged? Or is there something I'm missing? No matter what I do the barrel guy never talks to me (nor anyone in the party, even those with the quest) nor gives me a barrel.
