Personally I keep going anyway, but I'm stubborn. What is annoying is when you go all the way through, get to the chest at the end, and get shoddy R11 or R12 items, especially when not even a good skin. Removes the nice tingle you get when you get a decent item for working all the way through

Personally I like the challenge alot more now then I did during the preview. It is a masters difficulty level.

Thank god they changed it, it is a masters dungeon and in the preview event it was a joke it was that easy. At least now it is a challenge and fun to play.

Anet is not obliged to lower the difficulty of their game down to your specific level of n00bancy.

OMG! This might mean you have to spend more than 100g on your heroes and add some runes to their armor and get them some nice weapons! *SHOCKED*

Think about the skills you bring.
I tend to agree. I can't say for sure that they made it harder since the preview (don't remember exactly), but I did it once during the preview with a sub-par build (H/H only) and completed it easily, and I did it again today with a different sub-par build (H/H only), and also completed it, although with quite a bit more difficulty.

During the preview, I heard that some said it was hard, so I took three monks (two hench + Dunkoro hearer), and I went as an air ele with not much to damage Frostmaw except weakness and blind(?), and finished it easily, almost no deaths throughout. Today I did it with just the two hench monks and me as a fire ele with lots of damage potential...it was much more difficult...my whole party got to 60% DP quickly, then worked it off to +10% by mid-level 4 (no consummables), then back to 60% party-wide by the time we hit Frostmaw (wow!, the second half of level 4 can be tough! ...Jotun mob + frostmaw spawn + siege wurms + wurms + wurm bile, etc...), yet we still dispatched Frostmaw rather easily, all of us at 60%. So if they made it harder, fine, just take a better build, but even so, even a bad build can beat him.

Guild group with 5 Heros : 1h22 min.

Full guild group : 48 min.

Now....after we did it under 40 min on preview week end its nice to ear some are having ussues lol.

Nothing like Pve skills and a bit of thinking. Why dont you redo your build, think about more on how to go faster. Learn the pop ups etc etc. If we can do this, so are you.

Peace and chin up

I did it in a couple hours. A few parts of it were rough due to bad luck. Wasn't a bad h/h group, but it was late and I hit a couple of stumbling points when the H/H didn't quite follow directions fast enough..lol But I stubborned my way through the thing and I think I get either a really decent gold or green axe and a diamond.. Don't really recall since I went to bed right afterwards.

It was a bit tough, but really fun when I wasn't cursing because the nicely isolated mob I cornered suddenly became the focal point for a dozen chromatic drakes and a half dozen elementals, or in other parts every mob seemed to be a wurm magnet.

Ah well

BTW bc someone isnt doing an elite part of the game in under 30 mins with heros/henchies, doesnt make them a noob, it makes them normal.

Alright, there's something we're all forgetting in this thread.

Guides.

Guides from fansites, guides from players, they're all out there. We look them up to do most anything and they tell us what to bring, what to expect, what builds to use, even what runes to put on our armor. Currently, there are no extensive build/dungeon guides to Frostmaw. (This may change in the next few days, so don't cite me on this.)

Imagine this is you will.

Urgoz.

Agroing enemies that can kill in you in two hits. A bridge that pummels you with projectiles. A group that randomsly spawns that can wipe half to all of your party within three seconds of agro. Not to mention the standard difficult mob pulling that you'll find in elite dungeons. Oh, and did I mention about how unless someone stays behind, or gets up on a log using 1 of 2 rarely used skills in the game, the party cannot go on?

Simple now, isn't it? Because we have guides. We know how to conquer this area and get nice things like Zodiac Swords and Gaurdian of the Hunts (which I have a few of to sell).

But now, only a few days after it made it's debue, we're in uncharted terriroty. Once a few people figure out the trick, it will be easy for all of us. Nothing is that challenging when you come in with the right build.

But two things yet. One, how do you consider it at all fair that you can go into an elite dugneon using heros and henchman? If you can do it with them, that dungeon isn't doing it's job. They're designed to be a challenge for a reward, not to operate on your convenience and your hatred of teamwork. Go to Urgoz and gather a group of 12 people, or may I suggest henching it? Then come back and whine about dungeons.

And another, to all the people who say "I don't use guides" the people that do still spread information about the guides into the game. You can't really avoid it. Frostmaw will soon be rancid with active farmers that want you to run a certain build on a certain class. You may not be the one to look at the guide, but you're still benefitting from it.

Summary:

~You should not be able to do elite dungeons with heros/henchman
~It's very hard at this point due to lack of guides
~Wait a few days for guides to come out, it will be easy again. I garuntee it.
~Even if you don't use guides, other players who do will still spread the information from them to you eventually.

you know...better than crying that it's too easy. people like to have a challenge.
besides...forget consumables, this is what HUMANS are for. at least have 2 humans with heroes so you don't have to take henchies.

oh, and how exactly did you end up with 40 hp heroes? my heroes still have like 180-250 at 60% dp...or did u happen to give jora (a WAR hero) 2 sup runes?
