Default GW:EN Finale *spoilers*

So, last night I finished the EotN main quest line. I beat the great destroyer and frankly.. it was disappointing! I mean he is very small, I was expecting him to be at least the size of abaddon. Not only that, but he was weak and the fight lasted maybe 1-2 minutes.

After having beat the Great Destroyer you get a short video in which you discover that there was in fact a bigger ''dragon'' in that room.. I mean he should of been the end-game boss

Now lets talk about the end-game weapons... wtf!!!
ALL the staffs are a reskinned Kephets Refuge... the sword is a reskinned long sword, the axe a reskinned dwarven axe, etc. And its not like they are reskinned in a good way, instead they are all grey! GREY!!! I mean I was fine with reskinned foes, environments because those make sense in a way, but there was no effort what so ever in making end-game weapons.

I can't be the only one disappointed with the end!

Um, here is a hint, that was not the real destroyer. There was this BIG thing hovering above it who's eye opened. Watch the end trailer again. That BIG thing that opens it's eye and blinks. That is the Destroyer and thats what we face in GW2, and saw what you just did.

What we thought was the destroyer was really its herald I think. BUT YOU JUST KEEP THINKING YOU KILLED THE BIG MEAN NASTY DESTROYER THATS WHAT IT WANTS YOU TO THINK.

If anything i thought the dragon thing looked like glint. Perhaps a new prophet for GW2?

I have to ask the question; did anyone else think that Livia would have learned a valued lesson from what happen to Gadd? I mean you would think she would have taken the past references to what happen to Vizier Khilbron seriously; if she actually studied the history of the Scepter of Orr?

I really don’t feel like fighting someone again who believes they are saving their people, only to wipe them out. Especially if that next person becomes the next Lich.

Was the birth of the first Sylvian or whatever they are called just that tree moving? The way they built it up I thought I would actually SEE something..

My theory, as I have posted once or twice before, is that the dragon was summoned when Khilbron activated the Scepter of Orr. The dragon arrived as a meteor, crashed into Arah sending Orr into the sea, and dug almost to the core of the planet. (Think Lavos from Chrono Trigger.)

The dragon obviously is a god-like creature. The magical energy it gives off, even while dormant, drew the attention of the Asuras and the Destroyers. It is very unlikely that the dragon was made on Tyria by the Six Gods. Glint, their first creation, was to be the most powerful creature in the world, and this dragon is obviously going to completely outclass Glint. Moreover, there is no lore of an ancient and powerful creature sealed away for all eternity deep inside the planet: such events tend to become the stuff of legends.

My guess about Tyria's prehistory is that when the Six Gods came to Tyria, they found a number of animistic lesser deities (the Great Dwarf, the Great Destroyer, the Bear Spirit, etc.) and their followers locked in permanent struggle. They decided to meddle to set things straight, first creating Glint, then summoning the Forgotten to stop all the fighting, and then creating the humans to civilize the planet. Of course, their plan didn't work out as they wished, so the gods eventually cut their losses and went to other areas of the Mists.

Speaking of the Mists, the Scepter of Orr is probably not of Tyrian origin. What, or who, brought it to Tyria? My guess is the race of Seers, who are to the dragon what the Margonites are to Abaddon.

I love your lore enthusiasm, but there's one part I have beef with. I doubt the Seers would bring the staff, considering what it was meant to do and it's power. My guess is that it will be a big part of GW2, perhaps an escaped artifact that could be one of many great artifacts that escaped the hands of this new magical creature that we see in the GWEN finale when it was supposedly turned to a statue, or entered hibernation, or whatever upside down statues that were once great powers do.

the dragon thing is glints hubby, why do you think she protects those eggs :P, and "the great destroyer" some destroyer, i had more trouble betting the boss that has searing flames.

my guess is that due to those visions they didnt get the facts straight and didn't kill the actual "great destroyer"

the end of gw1 and it was a lame ending
