Default How are people finding the dungeons?

They are pretty good I found, some of them are a bit unfair in their dificulty. Excevations is just insane if your not prepared for the final level. But overall I found them interesting.

don't think some of the harder ones should be so hard on normal mode.that aside there rather good, though i can't seem to find many people making groups for them just yet.

They're great, best part of the expansion in my opinion.

I like them. I think that having somewhat difficult dungeons in normal mode is great. Some dungeons, you know, actually require good builds and tactics unlike mostly everything else in Guild Wars.

Well it's a bit tough, you have 18 dungeons, probably alot of people are soloing them, and just trying to get the hang of them. I know I personally will be soloing/dualing them, but in something as tough as a dungeon, I would want to be sure I was able to handle it without messing up the team before I joined others.

I love them, Catacombs of Kathendrax is particularly awesome!

Finished Frostmaw's Burrows yesterday in a not particularly highskilled group and we weren't running anything superspecific as well.

Shows me that theres still hope for a somewhat "free" gw in which you can play what you want (more or less) and still enjoy your time.

+10 for dungeons

There are no HM dungeons. They are all easy, and the drops sucks.

fun, difficult for non-hardcore players (but not over exagerated like HM where you HAVE to tank or use tntf). require thinking and not just mindless button smashing like NF do. the idea of using player's builds is great.
hurray for dungeons!

I just finished Frostmaw's Burrows and I can honestly say...I will never go through that again. I hero+henched it and I was really really frustrated by the time I got half way through. It is a difficult area to say the least.

The mobs were not so tough, BUT what made them hard was this. I would see a group and approach them slowly. Nothing would pop-up so I would engage said group. About, oh maybe 3 seconds into the battle the ground would shake and you had 3 sometimes 4 Frost Wurms pop out. Add them to the monsters you just engaged, well that equals instant death. And this happened with almost every single damned group you tired to fight. UGH!

I had a DP of 60 constantly. It really wasn't worth rmoving it cause you would be given a guaranteed death the next group you fought.

Ah well, it was a challenge.

My reward sucked butt. I got a crappy modded gold Demoncrest Spear and a Diamond.

Well, off to try another dungeon..

Even frostmaws can be tricky with heros and henches, but its a walk in the park with players. Ive done it two or three times and just walked it with players. Got halfway with the crappy new hench AI and gave up.

me: "Ok guys, careful now, dont want to aggro those chromatic drakes, they could complicate things, got that Talon?"

Talon Silverwing: "Sure boss, whatever you say"

me: "ok lets go"

Talon: "KAMIKAAAAZEEEEEEEEEE!"

* party wipe*

The dungeons so far are pretty cool. I've only been in a few so far.

By the way, is there two entrances to the Ooze Pit? There's a closed door on the 1st level and on the other side is a pressure plate... or did I miss something?

Heh to be honest I found the first two levels the toughest in Frostmaw. Especially the first levels first room, it's pretty much impossible to do anything there without agroing the entire room thanks to the suicidal norns.

Just finished Frostmaw for the second time: a tad more difficult than it was during the preview weekend. Great fun. Excellent. Will be back until a perfect Runic Blade drops. Excellent design choice.

Loving the dungeons so far. They are amazing imo. While yes they can be ahrd if not prepared correctly, they usually aren't impossible. I have yet to try my hand at frostmaw's tho. maybe i'll go for it soon with a few friends since hench/hero doesn't seem to be recommended and i've been doing it all along for dungeons.

Frostmaw's was a lot of fun if you had the right group of players. I cant do it heros/henchies, for some reason.

I just spent the last 2 hours doing Aracni's Haunt with my hero/hench set. (2 hero healing monks, lina prot. spliter barrager. two hench tanks, and that one ranger henchie that looked bored.) Only reason it took so long was I couldn't find the map, or the dungeon key on the first level. It's a two level dungeon, and the end boss was easy. But she has like 20k HP, I swear. Took 10-15 minutes just to kill her! D:

Lots of spiders, and a weird place where there were a bunch of forge ettns, and some fire ele spirits. With a fire ele boss... it was weird. Lots of poison traps, so.. that kept my dunk, and talkora busy.
