Default Burning forest?

In the pre-release videos there was a burning forest shown in GW:EN which looked awesome. I've looked about for it but I still havn't found it.

Anyone know which part of the map it's in, pls?

It's in south eastern Sacnoth Valley (Charr Homelands).

You can get a quest for that area from Langmar outside Ledge if you've finished the Vanguard line of quests. There's also a dungeon in that corner.. lots of fire..

That place is totally trippy and one of the coolest, erm, hottest places in the entire game. There are at least two quests that will lead you directly to the forest (one you get from Gwen at some point and the other was about some titan) and you can even do them simultaneously. Although densely packed with nasty fire AoE monsters, it can easily be cleared with a H+H team. Make sure that your team packs enough interrupts and conquer it slowly starting from the edges since you don't want to be run over by an angry patrol of flame djinns with Searing Flames while engaged in a fight with other high level fire elementals that cast Savannah's Heat ...

extinguish ftw. The dungeon is not too bad as long as you bring interrupts. The forest itself can be hellish

One if the coolest environments so far I think. Run through it with music, then run through it again with no music and listen to to the trees burning. Creepy, spooky, very cool!

Not to mention there's a Flame Djinn Boss in one of those patrols, we spotted him too late and we suddenly had a flame djinn patrol and 3 of those elementals on us..yeah, we wiped, lol. That area is indeed spooky but I did look around in awe at the design, quite awesome stuff.

The dungeon in the corner there is just plain awesome, well worth a visit, the end boss is quite hard too

Gwen will give you a master quest if you give her the lris flower, the quest will lead you there. There's another quest as well, smell like titan or something. This area is just so great, graphic is just ace. My FPS also drop to about 30-45.

...drops? 30-45 is normal for me, and my machine isn't exactly ancient o_O

On topic, the burning forest (and EotN in general) has some of the best art/graphic design I've ever seen in any game. Bravo Anet!
