Angry Stand Up!

Either my keyboard is going bad OR there's a variable in the Stand Up skill for Kilroy's boxing thingummy (most likely). I get to that last guy, kill off the ettin and end up about to pass out. What do you know, my Stand Up skill suddenly moves like molasses (and I do mean slooooow).

Consequently, I have yet to win one. In the same time that my energy bar refills in the beginning, middle and near-end, it only moves to about 5 or 6 energy!

Anyone know for certain?

Ok, how about a real answer. Obviously I am pressing the bejesus out of it or I would not have made it to the last guy . . ..

So, to reiterate in case its not clear: I am pounding on the #8 key as I do every other time I get knocked down, but this last guy must introduce a variable that causes the Stand Up skill to take longer.

This would be the 15th time through, and bam, same deal EVERY time.

So, real answers anyone? By design? Poor design? My #8 needs replaced?

Use your mouse to click on it. That seems to work a lot faster for me.

Press your 8 key and click the skill at the same time.

Worked pretty well for me. I've gotten over 100 energy this way.

is this a progressive issue? or is there a sudden change in the rate of recovery?

because I do know every time you get knocked down, it adds 5 more energy gap for you to fill out, so it naturally becomes harder and harder to stand back up.

But if it's a sudden issue, then it could be the keyboard, or a bug, or a bug stuck inside the keyboard

Just to note, everytime you get knockdown, aka die, your energy increases which means it will take longer and longer to get back up if you keep dying over and over.

only possibility i see is...
you're pressing too fast, and the key's not going up all the way, and your slow/old keyboard doesn't register it.

so use ur mouse

i find mouse to be faster. but i find using both at the same time to be EVEN faster (no duh), which is the only way i've gotten back up at around 80 energy.

That did it, although I still think its crazy that my problem only existed with the last guy. The click w/#8 button practically insta-fills the energy bar like I would expect!

Thanks guys and gals! I just did my first tourney too, and blew them away. I love the new brass knuckles.

It takes longer to get back up each time you are knocked down.

My recommendation in future is that you try not to die as much. If you don't die against the last guy then you won't have this problem at all... will you?
