many of my drops are not max damage or max energy

example: req 12 starfish focus with +11 energy? ive got 1 gold and about 4 grapes total all weekend. open no chests

Wow, I must be getting everyones lockpick drops. I have had at least 6 so far and I only did a little of the game and 0 dungeons. I started the Azura track and norn track and really didn't get anywhere. I only have 1 tapestry so far.

As for Gold drops, I only got 1 so far and it was merch fodder.

I think I've gotten one lockpick drop.

Since release, I've bought about 30 lockpicks. I'd say I retain them about...30% of the time. Out of maybe a total of 50 chests opened, I'd say I got 6 or 7 golds...none of them even worth keeping. I have FAR better chest drops in Nightfall, and even in Cantha.

I don't really understand the fact the we NEED lockpicks if we want to open chests in EotN. I was under the assumption, that was reserved for Hard Mode, where the slightly better payoff balanced out the need for a lockpick. That "balance" is nonexistant in EotN, for me. The chest drops there are comparable to Normal Mode in the other campaigns, yet a lockpick is still needed. Only thing I can think of is "huge gold-sink". :/

As far as monster loot goes, forget it, lol. I think I had one gold drop from a mob...a req13 cane. >.>

well I've had about 3 drops from monsters, 1 was a rune (a crap rune) n the others where a shield n a crap focus, the shield was max n req9 so looking at all you lot I guess I had luck =D it even came with +29 health hehe. The best golds come from destroyers keep that in mind guys!

Only one lock pick for me as well.

Actually, I think the drop rate for me in GWEN has been horrible! I can kill literally 100-150 monster and barely even have gold drop. I have seen zero golds, zero purples, about 5 blues, and a scattering of whites.

Not digging the drop rates.

Wow, I thought I was the only one not seeing a single lockpick drop, still haven't gotten or seen one drop. I stopped buying lockpicks after seeing my luck hasn't changed for the better in EotN either. I'm talking about over 80% purple from chests and basically breaking every lockpick at first use.

I've gotten 4 gold monster drop total, 2 non max. Just today I got a 14-21 platinum blade :| only salvageable part was 15^50% inscription. It could be my mind playing tricks on me but I saw a lot more max purple items than gold. Jora's wielding a max purple greater highlander blade which I modded so I'm kinda happy with the purple drops. The color of drops usually doesn't matter to me but I'd at least expect the rare drops (gold) to be max especially since we're not in newbie like territory.

My kill count's usually in the low thousands before seeing 1 gold drop what kind of luck am I having when others are talking low hundreds?
