Default Polymock Camera Angle is AWFUL!

After you go through all the choices, click START THE ROUND and the countdown timer ends, your view of your character LUNGES FORWARD when the word FIGHT appears on your screen. It gives you a view that blocks the lower 1/3 of your character and PREVENTS you from zooming back out. WTF?

This is TOTALLY unacceptable. In addition to jolting you with an unexpected viewpoint, it forces you to use an unfamiliar and unchosen perspective. LEAVE MY CAMERA ANGLE WHERE *I* PUT IT, TYVM. I am completely baffled as to why this ridiculous camera lock occurs, but it makes dodging projectiles all but impossible and takes SO MUCH of the fun away from the game that I won't play Polymock til it gets fixed!

Is it even possible to dodge projectiles in Polymock? I thought the object was to block them or interrupt the caster with the impossible-to-use-accurately interrupt.

Yes it is possible to dodge spell projectiles.

From this link:

  • Using strafe to dodge incoming projectile attacks can make most fights much easier
