So, I've beaten GW:EN for the first time on my ranger and I only have 1 word to describe it. "Beta", it doesn't feel like a finished product, right down from the bugs to the re-skinned/re-hashed armors. There are many things missing from GW:EN as well, such as hard mode (You cannot get above rank 8 in race rep title tracks from what I hear in Normal mode) also while Warrior's get 2 armor sets they can craft at the Dwarven armor crafter, some professions (Such as ranger and dervish) do not even get gloves? This has lead me to believe Anet will be making a pretty big update to please their customer's wishes as seen in the forums and fan sites. The biggest complaint of all, as we know, is the lazy re-skinned/re-hashed armor sets, But not ALL of them are so bad. I'd like this thread to be dedicated to the armor sets people would like to keep in the game and which they would like to get changed, if Anet decides to revamp and redo some in the future. Such as they did with Prophecies to an extent. So I'll list the ones I'm very fond of to start the thread off, and if I may ask you kindly to be organized about this so-

1. State the full armor name as well as the profession(s)
2. Include a link with a picture of the armor (or thumbnail)
3. Say why you like it or don't like it!

Norn Armor - All Professions

I personally think they did a great job across all professions with this, all the sets in my opinion can stay.

Asuran Armor - Necromancers, Elementalists, Dervishes, Assassins

These are some of the better done re-skins I've seen so far. As for the other professions, they're very mediocre.

Monument Armor - Necromancer, Assassin, Warrior (female), Elementalist, Dervish, Mesmer

Same reasons as the Asuran armor, these ones tend to be upscale in their textures and less sloppy. The rest are rather sloppy in my opinion though

The rest are utter crap, I won't even go into detail. I could spend hours ranting about my disgust for those armors from the lack of fine textured detail to the sloppiness of how the pieces match.

P.S.
So anyways, you don't have to follow the way I posted, its just a guideline for other users. Set flamethrowers to low for this thread, its not about who thinks what armor is ugly and who thinks what armor isn't and whos stupid for thinking at all, its about personal opinions getting (hopefully) noticed by Anet.

I'd prefer they simply add a new set for each profession, somewhat like the silver eagle, to each profession as a truly elite Asuran, Dwarven, or Monument armor. Preferably drawn from the awesome hero armor, which is a thousand times better than what we get. No need to remove anything, then.

Asuran Assassin, Warrior Silver Eagle, Monument Mesmer, and keep the monument Rangers except change the gauntlets and boots so they aren't pooping on FoW.

Trash the rest.

Norn armors are the only ones with unique parts. Everything else, except for Mesmer vanguard (monument) can go to heck. Yeah, pretty much every armor except for Norn one is a reskinned armor from Proph/Factions/Nightfall.
"We don't need more reskins... We don't need new sets... All we want is make them NOT reskins!", or something like that.

Of all the races and all the professions, the only set I'm even considering getting is Asura Necromancer male. It's a complete reskin of 15k Luxon, but it's one I like. Every set of Dwarven is a horrible mish mash of different existing sets. Norn seems to have the most originality, most likely the first sets of armor made and the Ausura, Vanguard, and Dwarven sets suffered from a lack of creativity down the line.

All of them. They shouldn't delete armor just because a large number of people don't like them- even the most unpopular armor set will have at least a few fans, and it's not fair to them to change it after they buy it.

I'm all for new armor sets (either in a second expansion or as a free/purchasable stand-alone pack), but please don't change existing sets just because some people complain about them.

That pretty much says I don't want any armors, it wouldn't be decent without any armors, I mean armors are a main thing of a GW game now everyone goes on about them.

For the most part, I don't really care for any of them and think they were lazily done. Considering how long people will work for FoW armor, Anet should have known people would be looking forward to new armor to gain. However, as poorly as these were done; a lot of game play is simply thrown away as there's really no stand out set to work for.

I can't see them throwing any out at this point though; I can already hear those that do like the set they bought screaming for their spent cash and mats back if such a move was done.
I think Anet should simply put new sets in (At the same cost* in gold and mats) with a free update. Other words it will seem like they released crap for a fast space filler, then descided there was money to be made with their "fixed" and completed version.

* It would not suprise me in the slightest if Anet made a move to yet again increase the grind by adding "fixed" armor sets that required twice the mats and gold; thus increasing grind two fold...

I'd like to see Silver Eagle (or whatever it's called) for all classes; I can't imagine why Anet only made it for warriors. What a slap in the face.

None of the armor really grabbed me, in all honesty. Usually when I skim through a classes' armor art, I stop on something and go "Ooh, I HAVE to have that!" and well, nothing in GW:EN did it for me.

I liked the ninja mask, tinted glasses, and destroyer gloves, though. Accessories like that are actually pretty cool, if skating a bit close to Gaia territory.

They should keep all of them. Many people have already bought the armor, and I'm sure they'd be disappointed because a bunch of people didn't like it. It's too late to rework the armor, but it's not too late to add more.

I really like most of the Norn ones.

Actually, the Male Monument Warrior armor is so much better as a reskin than the original Luxon that it's not even funny.
