Has anyone found an effective way to grind Ebon Vanguard points yet? Or at least a tolerably repeatable way? I am interested in buying Ebon Vanguard armor for my necro.

Thanks a bunch in advance for the advice.

What I'm hearing most people do is going outside of Doomlore Shrine (I think) and grabbing that devourer to control. Just go around killing everything with ease, although earlier today molotov let off a siege and insta-wiped my whole party :/

Meh, I don't really understand the fascination behind the devourer. I let off better sustainable damage than it does hands-down. Clearing Dalada Uplands or Sacnoth Valley should give a few thousand Ebon points, but be prepared to spend ~50 minutes per map.

Speaking of which, does anyone have EV armor yet? Everyone is dying to know if it's the diamond/onyx armor! Well... at least I am...

Outside Doomlore, take devourer and kill larger groups. Once you get 150 kills get shrine rewards (100 points each) while killing remaining groups. Good run should take around 30-40 mins. As for molotov, start with siege followed by aoe knockdown.

I can't say for other classes, but for mesmer the materials are really cheap. Each piece only requires a whole bunch of cloth, a bit of silk, and 10 plat. The armor makes me look like a pirate of the caribbean (eyepatch included).

You're riding a giant devourer across the countryside, crushing all that stands before you, what's not to love?

Molotov Rocktail just plain ROCKS! His ability to insta-party-wipe is unrivalled. His name is awesome and he makes for a fun battle.

I need to start farming for Ebon Vanguard points as I feel the Ele armor is worth going for. Dalada Uplands seems like as good a place to farm for points as any.

By the way, has anyone found out if the Flaming Scepter Mages are in that cave for a reason?

Yea, the Dalala Highlands (sp is for nubs) is probably the best place to farm it. Bit of trivia, you can ride your Siege Devourer to the valley in the south so you can also farm that while you're at it. May not be much but the extra bit helps.

According to wiki, they're part of a quest to rescue them. But I never could find the quest giver.

Heh, went out there first time with a full group of heroes and one friend, and he dropped his sword for me

Anyways, back on topic...

I'm R4 right now, i found the most effective way is to go out of Doomlore, and kill everything in that first explorable area with the devourer(nets around 2k). Then, as you get done with that area head to Sacnoth and clear everything there for another 3k-4k.

Tips
------
1. Don't talk to more then one ascalonian squire untill you have killed atleast 150 enemies. This way, you can go around at the end collection 100 points from each one.

2. Save bosses in the case that you get a boss rampage. Have a knowledge of where all of them are in you area. This helps maximize your amount of points possible

3. Seige Devourer is overrated if you are a warrior or paragon. You can't spam the siege attack because of the exhaustion. You would be better off taking your normal build, as I have done myself.

BTW: The armor, posted on wiki, doesn't take expensive crafting materials. Normal materials+10k per part. Also, there seems to be no common headpiece, which is a disappointment.
