Arachni Help!!!!
How the heck do you kill this guy? I spent 4 hours getting through arachni's haunt... I end up killing all of his spawns that go along with him and now there is only him... BUT HE'S IMPOSSIBLE! We can do so little damage to him!
And he is a near instant party wipe!
This is hero/hench by the way. There is no way I could play with anyone as I lag and they would hate it q.q
his barrage just RAPES us and probably power shot too. WHAT DO I DO!?

I had no problem taking him down with Heroes/Hench. He was extremely easy for me. Definitely nowhere remotely closer to being "impossible". It's a problem with the Heroes you brought and/or the skillbars on the Heroes you brought.

I hero/henched it just fine, all you just need to chip away at him, like all teh end bosses, he has insane amounts of hp.
from memory my party was Nuker, MM, Healing rit, Dervish tank, Devona, Mhenlo, Cynn, and who ever the illusion henchman is.
degen, and interupts pretty much take down any of the duneon bosses. that and constant attacking

Post what your heros were running and what henchies you brought with you. We can help you change your build so its more effective. Also, were you using the walls to your advantage or just letting him gun you down with barrage?

I did it as follows...
Me running an MM support build with Spiteful, Reckless Haste and Barbs.
Once you arrive at the eggs and have taken out all the rest alongside the Matriarch, go to the second set of eggs and click only 4 of 5 nests.
This will spawn all the little spiders and nothing else. Seeing as these are only lvl 14 they die fast and that's what you need.
Then once ready, click the last nest and kill the surrounding spiders.
The corpses of the little spiders are still present so good food for Livia/Olias/Whispers (whoever your MM is). With a full army, cast Arcane Echo, and then Reckless Haste followed by Spiteful and Barbs. Keep Reckless on him. Arcane Echo should make this possible for 5 times. I also had Price of Failure so that adds to the missing percentage.
GG owned and done

Since his barrage is spammed, it's very easy to land a diversion on him but if you want a really quick kill (ie. a few seconds), bunch the entire team together, cast pain inverter + empathy on him and let him do a barrage or two.
If you're lacking those skills, bring summon mursaat/enervating charge/enfeeble which really renders physical attackers useless and whittle away his health.

I'm with everyone else on this. Indeed, he has a bunch of HP, and it took a few mins killing him. He was pretty easy. I took dunk, and talkora as my primary healing. Lina protection hench, a barrage/splinter hero, 2 warrior henchmen, and an interupter.
He went down slowly, but he did go down. Now, the dungeon, on the other hand, was annoying as hell. Took over an hour on the first level alone. But it was my bad, since I walked over the dungeon key thrice. lol. whoopsies.

ugh x.x i decided to give up on that dungeon for now. I started at 4 and it was 11 when i got done... for no reward q.q sigh
maybe i'll need a group next time :\
I have pain inverter (love it!) but i'll see how a PI/empathy combo can take him down by looking at wiki.
odd, the tps golem was NOTHING compared to this guy.

Yeah, the TPS Golem was a bloody pushover. Took me, and my heros all but 30 seconds to kill him. LOL. No deaths at all that dungeon, it was just.. too easy? Yeah.

oh he killed us a few times.
My main problem is that I pretty much go into anywhere with whatever my heroes have on at the time. I never give them builds.
So yeah I got killed a few times >.< but after i took out the flame guardians, piece of cake.

I think i'll have my Dervish (me) use ebon dust build and probably some kind of secondary to use a negate blocking skill (he has whirling defenses)
I crafted an asuran scythe, it's basically big (REALLY BIG) rock blade, it would be good to put a ebon mod on it.
keep that kraka blind!
heroes will probably all be casters, devona/talon for muscle. Cynn, and somebody else.

Just completed it moments ago....i had 2 MMs (YES 2!!!) and gwen as domination interrupt hero. my as a offensive spirit spammer but i basically did nothing.....just stood there and let the minions chip away the mobs XD
oh and for henchies i had 2 monks, Devona, and Zho.
The MMs can maintain full 20 minions most of the dungeon, and Arachni was a breeze as i had Great Dwarf Weapon on Devona(chance of KD) PLUS my Wanderlust. He/she couldn't even get up to get 1 barrage off.
weird enough, i got a green out of the other martriach, not the chest. it was a nice-skinned spear called The Matriarch Stinger, and i had fun hehe...

I did it as a warrior with dunkoro as healer, sosucky as SF/MS Nuker and olias as MM. I brought along Cynn, Herta, Mhenlo (Gah!) and Lina. Have done multiple times without any problem.
If you are having much trouble, I suggest you just try to clear all the spawn before burning its nest. Good Luck.

for a tailored arachni killer just take out backfire/shame for enfeeble or enfeebling blood and atrophy

I'm missing something here as this was the easiest mission / dungeon I've yet to do. It was also a great pop culture reference to the cult classic movie Aliens.
Anthem of Weariness vs. that bloated spider equals party is safe from damage.
Furthermore any kind of hex degen or degen conditions will work.
BTW Hixx, Hudd and Vask FTW! "anytime anywhere"
