I already said /notsigned for now. As for leave, I would already have done so, if you could please stop quoting me . I dun't like leaving stuff behind. I was not planning to this much to the discussion. I thought my 1st post was clear already. It's only my opinion, no need to feel so defensive .

I would love to see hero armor available to playes, not because it shows more skin, but because the level of detail is amazing. In addition, it really fits the concept of Guild Wars being a fantasy game.

That is why I would agree that comparing Guild Wars armor to real life just doesn't make sense to me. I play it to escape from real life and to wear outfits that would be outlandish for fighting in. Real world clothing is limited both by what is acceptable and practical in that world. Clothing in a game is not bound by such limits.

In addition, I have paid $40 dollars of my hard-earned money for this expansion. That doesn't mean I have to be rude to ANet and go on about how they suck, but it does mean that I have a right for my voice and my opinion to be heard. Disappointment may be part of life, but that doesn't mean that I have to roll over when I am not happy with something. I know that ANet can do an amazing job with armor and I love the rest of the expansion. This one issue is my only caveat.

The game to me feel's rushed and recycled , even the end-game green weapons are pathetic - brohn healing staff skin ... just wow.

If your feeling as frustrated as me about the lack of effort put into this game , please share your thoughts and maybe , just maybe anet will pull there finger out and release some original armor skins for us to enjoy.

if anet designers are lazy in designing new armors, anet should at least let us wear the heroes armor.....the heroes armors are 100 times better than our armor.......

what a stupid decision to let heroes look 100 times better than players

I agree that you, and all of us (lest you think I was taking a potshot at you in particular.. I wasn't) paid for the game and have a right to voice our opinions. The key here is what you said about not having to attack a-net in order to do that. If only others would take the same tact. There is a vast difference between constructive criticism and whining. Some folks just have yet to see that apparently, which is unfortunate.

As for me.. I spent the same $40.. actually $45.. my pre-release was $10 at Best Buy and $35 from the online store. That's less than three hours work.. and so far I've spent at least 20-30 hours playing GW:EN and will enjoy 100's more. All in all, pretty good bang for the buck for me. I've gotten a lot less satisfaction from spending a lot more at times. So while I might have a few minor issues, I think all in all GW:EN has been an outstanding investment.

Hopefully, while I'm sure Anet will take notice of the discontent from the players on the forum here, they won't dismiss the issue out of hand as being presented by a bunch of spoiled brats. I say this as a parent of three, at times rather boisterous teens. I know personally that I tend to tune them out unless they don't at least make an effort to sound reasonable and sane, rather than simply ranting about whatever their gripe of the moment is. Same goes for the customers that call into the Tech Support Center I work at. The ones that have reasoned complaints get much better support than the ones just calling to moan and whine.

Submit your own designs and help Anet make something "original" coz apparently, the armor that they make is not good enough... btw, love the new ranger armor...

I would love to see other people's designs coz apparently it is very easy to be original. And it would be nice to have see armor made by the fans. Comeon, i am sure there are loads of people with lots of imagination!

Side-note : Loved those weapons designed by fans!
yes thats good reasoning, what about the people that bought these terrible armor sets , there not cheap to the casual gamer.

That is totally the wrong way to go - adding new armor sets will only add fuel to the fire they need to redesign the armor sets they've already released.

I think people are misunderstanding the bigger picture here , I have no problem with the armor sets being recyled verisions of older sets , the problem is anyone with a creative eye can clearly see these armor sets are broken, rushed, not very well thought out and so painfully unoriginal with the exception of a very FEW sets. I also respect that fact that they are focusing on gw2 and this expansion is just something to keep things ticking untill its released BUT that doesnt excuse the fact we have paid for a product that is so clearly rushed with very little content.

Dungeons you say ? lets see how motivated you are too grind these areas in a few weeks when destroyer weapons are common as muck (only weapons worth squat in gwen) - these weapons hold little prestige as it is since they can be attained quite easily.

Polymock you say ? very nice idea , shame they rushed this aswell giving it a life span of 6 very easy quests , the trading of polymocks could of been a nice gold sink but who the hell cares about collecting these things to win 50 at the most ausra faction for a 3-5 minute battle.

So before you jump on anets you know what , take a look at the bigger picture - once the dust settles and everyone has compeleted the very short storyline and grinded for a few weeks you'll realise just how badly thought out this expansion was.

I wont be happy until u can get the proper Ebon Vanguard armor, so you look like the Ebon Vanguard. And when you get Norn armor u actually look like a Norn.

one problem i see about redesigning the current armor is that what if someone actually bought the asura/norn/monument/dwarf armor because they liked how it looked. Then when it gets redesigned and they dont' like it, it wouldn't be fair for them lol. Adding a new set seems easier.

Indeed, people seem to be under the assumption that EVERYONE dislikes it, completely reskinning it would piss those off those who have it who actually like it.

Maybe Anet needs to add "Elite" versions of these already expensive armors?

I honestly don't see them redoing the existing armor for just that reason. The only reason the Glads armor was redone in Prophesies was because it was identical to the 1.5k set.

What would be nice is if they actually did have some "endgame" armors added.. ala Factions where you end up in an area only after fighting the last boss and putting a new "original" set for each class there. I think perhaps that would satisfy most.

As I said though.. personally I tend to mix match almost every set I use on any character to come up with something I actually like as a whole. So my personal request would be to allow us to put any set of ascended armor in the Hom, regardless of which actual set the individual parts come from originally.

But look at it this way, you don't have to grind for hours on end to get the gold to buy the armors! They removed that element of grinding, by making no one want the armors, so they could make way for their new element of grinding: the titles to even see the armor crafters! (I do, however, LOVE the glasses.)

I agree with some of the posters earlier in the thread. The scenery is top-notch, and blows every other campaign out of the water. Nightfall was hideous, its nice to see that at least some of the art department isn't half-assing it.

EDIT: Just saw the Hero armors for the first time in a thread linked from here. God damn... If we got anything near to that on actual characters, I think everyone would be happy. I haven't seen a single class of the elite Hero armor I haven't liked.

Get the GW:Factions team to make a new set for each profession.
The factions armour sets totally rock.
Factions is my favourite campaign for armour.

Yeah, I agree, some of the reskins are pretty bad, but that just cuts down the grind I have to do to get them.

Some of the armor I REALLY like, like the female ranger Norn...and the whole spectacle thing made me giggle.

I really don't care if they change it or not, because I'm the kind of person where if I don't like the armor, I don't get it.

And I do not feel cheated on the money my husband and I spent on GWEN. There is so much more to the game than the armor IMHO, and I'm out there enjoying it, while grinding my Norn and Asura titles for the armor that I do like.

Agreed. When I saw these armors I was like "oh lol these are the 1.5k each armors, eh? No biggie", and then they ended up being the "prestige" sets...

So as it stands, they make good cheap armor. Not elite.
