I'm more concerned with the fact that warriors seem to get 2 different sets of dwarven armor while every other class gets one.

How is this fair?

Why do people moan so much about things being reskinned?

If they made everything brand new from scratch without copying anything from anywhere previously then we'd still be back waiting for Night Fall to come out.

Do you buy a new car and go - Damn! This car is just a reskinned version of my last one! With the 4 wheels and the seats and the doors! It just looks and drives a little different! How dare they rip me off?!

Or when you go on holiday to another country? Are you standing there going - Holy Sh*t! These guys have reskinning our animals! Looks theres a dog! They should be unquie to our country! What the hell are they doing here?!

Get over it, it happens in life, it happens in games. It happens everywhere. When will you stop be surpised by it and getting up set by it?

Whilst I may well be thoroughly disappointed with the armours for certain of my chars; ele and warrior specifically, and still sitting here wondering wtf certain people at Anet were thinking. I do not believe that a reskin would be in order.

And I certainly do not think, as others do, that my disappointment in the armours means that I have wasted my money - far from it; I'm really enjoying playing GW:EN and adoring the scenery. Worth every penny my husband and I spent imo.

They cannot reskin because they have a "concern for the players". What I do hope is that we will get some new armor crafters in a few months time that will actually bring some NEW armor.

Here's for hoping that the armor dep. at Anet looks through the forums, take a quick glance across their desks and say, "Shit... we really messed up guys, sorry."

Because we all know that they are capable of making amazing armors, just take a look at the hero armors.

I just browsed through the armor on wiki for my ranger and they are all pretty terrible but that wouldnt bother me so much if i didnt have to grind for them it that you have to reach at least rank 5 in any title track to get them and im sorry but there not worth it. also what were anet thinking with these random gauntlets they should have made a whole set not just gauntlets and the chaos gauntlets just look like your character washed their hands in white paints

This has nothing to do with scenery (read my post at the top of page 3...I in fact think that it's great)...the sole topic here is reskins: armor, weapons, and (though I'm not too concerned because many, many new ones were created) monsters. This project was not a rushed job, they had nearly an entire year (or more, since they have different project teams)

Honestly, did you not even read my post too? If I were in charge of the department that does armor(or concepts for armor...w/e), and all I was seeing was QUARTER-assed reskins, it would just be as simple as bringing in new, fresh people to come up with something new that people would actually feel like they didn't waste their money on.

While I've enjoyed the gameplay and environments, I have to agree the armor and skins look a bit lackluster. Nothing makes me want to do the grinding required to get them. I know this is a transitional game before GW2, but there are 2 years before that comes about. Thats a long time and if this is what we are left with it will be fairly disappointing.

Well it's too late now, we can since people got the armor. Anet JUst cant change it refund the money any crating material for the people who bought it.

This is the thing, if ANET acctually showed us the new armor before the preview weekend, at least they would be able to find out our input.

That just my 2cents

No, but they can add another set. Look how Warriors have two sets from the Dwarfs, while other professions only have one. They could add a second set for other professions.

I don't think all the EOTN armour need to be reskinned, as Fr_3_aK does. However the Female Warrior Norn and Dwarvern armour needs to be re-skinned in my opinion - the latter definitely does not look like prestige armour. Haven't seen the Asuran stuff yet.

Can i kick A-net in the balls....cause they kicked the hell out of my balls. 40 new armor sets my ars. I will admit the stand alone pieces are rather cool. but...what you people who are defending the reskins dont understand is that we invested way too many hours and saved up alot of materials and plat for new cool looking armor. This is supposed to be for level 20 or higher characters, so the armor is supposed to be leet. Its not, half of the armor doesnt even match each other. Most of it is stupid looking. If they cant think of any new armor ideas, they can have a design an armor contest, just like they did the weapons. I could blow away every single piece of crap gwen armor.
