Default HoM not showing correct armor color

Yes, I did try a search, yes I did read the wiki article....

My monk who has the flowing tats all dyed silver (pre-dye nerf) displayed his set on the monument, it shows up all the old default blue!
The wiki article says it would show up the color of the chest, mine is silver, it has not. Is this a bug or has any one else with pre-nerf dyed armor tried to put their armor on display and it shows up the old default color?

(and for those of you who need an image....one is attached).

mods: if this is a bug, please move to appropriate bug section.

Did you put up another set of armor or wear a different chest piece with a different color while clicking on the statue to show your armor sets? While wearing one of my chest pieces it changed all the armor sets to default gold (on my Warrior) but once I switched to another chest piece then it would show silver on all the armor sets on my monument since that chest piece was dyed silver.

I think what they should change it so you choose what color each set should show instead of having all of the armor sets show the same color.

I believe it also shows the default colour if your armour was dyed before the big dye update.

I noticed also (after having put in my ranger's primeval dyed blue) that my warrior's Kurzick dyed with the old silver changed to the new silver. It isn't really noticeable but I found a silver dye and decided to see if it was just an illusion and the silver isn't as bright as it used to be.

If the dye on the armor is before the Nightfall dye update then the armor will be the standard color of that profession.
This is from the Guild Wars wiki, it doesn't seem to mention it on guildwiki.
So you'll have to redye if you want to change the color of future armors, but the one you put in has it's color stuck

so yes, it's for pre-nerf dyes

There's your problem. Also, I don't think "nerf" is the appropriate term for when they updated the dye system...

It's nerf alright, nerf indicates a step down and not being able to make certain colours certainly is a step down.

go check on the colours of the new armors (dwarven ranger for example) almost everything turns out blue-ish or brownhish

More on topic all your displayed armors are dyed the colour of the set you are wearing when you enter your hom or when you reset display.
old dye combos will be replaced by basic colours, (red for necro, blue for monk etc etc.)

ah I didnt read the 'offical' wiki, how dumb of me to think that the info on the other one would be up to date.

So now I have another reason to hate the dye nerf

since most of my Tyrian toons have pre-nerfed colors I wont be redying them as they are not colors obtainable under the current dye system. My monk will see if he can get the same color with the current dye (it just simple silver so I would think it should be doable----).

But seems they really didnt like the previous dye system!
(and I have only displayed the one set of armor....my monk only has 2--and the other is cheap 1k, though it is his 55 set )

thanks for the answers!

White approximates old silver pretty well...

Don't the armors appear in the colour of the chest you are currently wearing when you enter HoM... that's what I always figured.
