Ok he is not that hard to kill, only he has a ton of health, (I think wiki put it at around 20,000). You know your right that prepared shot would make the hex easier to maintain. However heres how I did it with 1 other human. He went monk and I brought my trusty ranger.

My ranger, his monk, his hero monk and our warrior hero all got into touch range. between the 2 monks PS could be maintained on the 4 of us, the warrior did not need it always. We both have rank 7 so pain inverter lasted about 4 sec. but he would be spamming frozen burst and deep freeze giving us a a steady 320 damage each spell. (we tried to cast pain inverter after shaterstone so he would only be using his AOE spells while the hex was on him.) we also had an SV necro though SS might have been better because I'm not sure is SV triggers on frozen burst.

Anyways thats how we did it. Ill drop by later with screens it was fun, easy and went fairly fast for a boss with so much health. Also I will use prepared shot next time as well.

I thought it was pretty easy... Did it for fun with some henchs and heroes and I never had any problems or had DP over 30% I think.

Seriously, I don't really understand why people are knocking Mesmer Heroes. Load up on a good interrupt bar (none of this backfire bogus) with Mantra of Recovery and watch Gwen go to town. Has a good deal more utility for than a BHA ranger, IMO (remove hex on 4 second recharge, ward against melee, whatever). Only 2 or 3 deaths when the H/H decided to plant themselves in front of an ice jet

Oh yeah cos that makes perfect sense... it was obviously your 2 SS necros, who are together utterly useless vs the same foe, who can interrupt 4 spells (if they don't miss) every 30 seconds. On a boss who spams a spell every 1-2 seconds for almost the entire fight.

An interrupt mesmer in no way compares to Broadhead Arrow vs this boss. They don't interrupt EVERYTHING for a start. They can occasionally miss. Even with MoR up they run out of energy/interrupts. Keeping the boss dazed 70-90% of the fight isn't even comparable to a mes occasionally interrupting its spells when it chooses to. More like 90-95% dazed if your using a ranger with Broadhead Arrow @ 16 Marks, Silencing bow and Serpents Quickness.

Just wondering.

Am I the only one who defeated this boss easily without using any interrupts at all?

Ok. I had 2. On Talon and Devona.

"Occasionally" is a bit of a strong word, isn't it? I can attest that GWEN hit 75% of all spells. I'm not knocking BHA at all, I'm sure it can surpass Dom Mesmer's effectiveness, but MoR + anything is awesome utility.

Power Return: 2.5 Second Recharge
Power Lock: 7.5 Second Recharge
Power Drain: 12.5 Second Recharge
Complicate: 10 Second Recharge.

Seems like pretty good coverage to me.

screw mesmers. bring a healer with healing seed. lots of hex removal(divert hexes warder) and a BHA ranger. rangers do everything better than mesmers. just make sure to lock that ranger on priority targets.

Goodness, me and a friend went togehter and beat him really easy with heroes. 3 SH eles, 1 SS(me), 1 Warrior(him) and 3 monks took him down rather quickly with only 3 individual deaths (me once and Zhed twice).

As for the dungeon, the interrupt hench does the job. Although i've noticed that sometimes she prefers her crappy penetrating attack to BHA...
Very true, but I'm too much in love with vekk's water build to switch to earth.
