Can anyone give me any good hints on how to deal with this? This dungeon is very irritating for me.

It has been a pain from the start and at the end my party was far to weak and unprepeared to deal with the boss. I need a little advice on how to do this=S

Just keep beating him down with 60dp, like everyone else.

Mesmers. Backfire, interrupts, etc.

Mesmers make everything easier.

Heh he's a really tough one to kill with 60Dp, I had to go through it a second time, and I'm not the greatest but I got there with 10% bonus, you just have to be careful, especially going through that first area with all the multiple freeze traps.

He was tough the first time but I've beaten him 2 subsequent times with hero/hench with no deaths. Bring Zho for Broad Head Arrow. I bring Beguiling Haze to get him dazed faster but it's not necessary. I usually bring Gwen, Norgu, and Razah (I've posted the builds I use on them before in another thread, but I can't find any way to find my previous posts, or I'd cut and paste them -- can anyone tell me how to do this?). The keys skills on Razah are Spirit Rift, Splinter Weapon, and Ancestors' Rage for cutting through the larger groups. A Spoil Victor necromancer makes things go faster and you could swap one for one of the mesmers. After you kill everything before the boss platform, activate the res shrine and get out of the area of Diamondshard Mist. After health & energy are full on everyone, run for the boss and do not stop. Focus only on the boss; once he's dazed he's not much of a threat, but you need to beat on him continually and keep him dazed. If you brought some AoE, the things around him will die in the chaos.

Ok ignore this advice, its crap. Backfire having a 5s duration and interrupts on extremely fast recharging skills in a lengthly fight are useless.

Broadhead Arrow and Frustration is where its at. BHA keeps it dazed 80-90% of the time, Frustration adds 50 damage everytime its interrupted.

Bring a mes with echo + diversion and spam it , he can't do anything, daze + arcane conundrum will help.

ITT people having trouble with the easiest dungeon in the game.

Take a Shutdown mesmer and an interrupt ranger, and you win. Really, it's that simple. And don't Leeroy everything in the center room, hell, don't even BOTHER with the center room. It's usually better to just clear the small group on the left and make your way to the northern end rather than fighting the clusters of mobs and traps in the center.

Again I say, take interruption. Aside from the Wisps, the entire dungeon is casters. It's foolish not to take some sort of shutdown. Get enough shutdown, and you can take down the dungeon in 10 minutes.

Hey, that's how I have Gwen set up in dominatrix mode. I run Illusion and do include Frustration. Since the boss does indeed to physical attacks as well Clumsiness and Ineptitude have their places for armor-ignoring damage.

What's nice with Frustration, Clumsiness triggers it. If I remember correctly that's -97 for Clumsiness and -53 for Frustration on top of it. Oddly enough... Ineptitude does not trigger Frustration. Pity.

You may scoff at interrupts... but don't forget the power of hero AI interrupting. Even Dunkoro packs Power Surge (think that's right...) for an added interrupt plus energy boost.

Seriously... two mesmers give that boss fits. You should have minimal DP, let alone 60%.

I've done this dungeon about 8 times now -- every time I had 10% bonus before I even got to the boss. It's easy. I take a MM, a paragon, an interruptor, 2 healers, etc

mesmers? bha? blasphemy. I used 2 rit heros (one on resto/channeling and 1 commune/channel) and one n/rt bip/healer. shelter on the communing rit helps sooooo much. i took eve, the 2 ele hench, and mhenlo and we killed the remnant with ~15 dp each

Only dungeon thats almost as easy as this is the oozes..:> ANd even they are realtivly easy *thought he bosses can be a pain to kill, I usually end up with 60Dp on them just cause it's so hard to kill the first one due to asborbtion.

I'm tempted to make this one my farming due to the Light of Deldimar points in the basement.

we made it to the final boss with 60% DP and only won because I had one of those things that wipes all DP from the entire party

I don't want to say I'm the best but I do farm this dungeon the most of all. I do it at least 4 times a day...(call me freaky but its true)

Here's my Team

Me (Warr - axe war or Ele - SF)
Gwen (Power Block + numerous interupts)
Ogden (LoD)
Vekk (Fiya Nuka)
Mhenlo
Lina
Herta
Zho/Talon (Zho if I'm war, Talon if i'm ele)

It is very easy and I can get to the boss with 10% morale boost. You just have to know where to go. This is a map of what I do:

http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7829/sodmapkt5.png

Follow the Blue line first, then go back with the Purple line, then follow the Green line. Where it says 3 is a proof of Duty so you can possibly do that but there are less monsters in my route.

Average time for Floor 1: 14-16 mins
Average time for Floor 2: 7-9 mins (including killing the boss)

Have fun and don't forget Light of Deldrimor for those goodies on F2.

Secret Lair of the Snowmen is so much easier for farming Deldrimor Points. 3 SF Heroes = total pwnage.

I'd bring Gwen with interrupts, cynn and herta. That'd help a ton.
