hi all. im looking for dervish doppleganer tips because currently my dervish/monk is only lvl 10 and i just wana get teh 50,000xp so any tips would be appreciated.

WoW your level 10 assuming.

1. You completed all of Istan.
2. Adventured from Lions Arch to Amon Oasis
3. Did all 3 trials while adventuring through the Desert.

....

Try playing the game first outside of that...

You might try just using Scythe skills that cause blindness as the doppleganger does not have a scythe. Take no self heals and just whack away. The skills and build I used you can't get until you are in the Realm of Torment.

Just for the record I used Ebon Dust Aura

Well I just just took my Lvl 20 Derv through as D/W - equipped Earth Scythe, Ebon Dust Aura and Frenzy. Couple of other skills that I did not need.

Pre cast Dust Aura before I went in, charged in and he'd gone down before I realised < 10secs.

So thanks GloryFox for the hint - it worked just great.

one simple thing that lets u do it with every profession, lol
go /N or if you are N/
take a bunch of sacraficial skill that will have no benefit and let him kill himself

he will kill himself

he doesnt actually sac all his health, but will sac as much as possible.

Doppel cannot use sunspear or lux/kurz skills. Aura of Holy Might and smash away.

Ebon Dust might be the best option. Or some necro hexes.

Dont load to many scythe attacks into your bar, because most of them are Melee attacks. So they can be used by him with his choas axe.

I use price of failure and hiding behind a collum. Maybe even reckless haste if you are in a hurry

may be this will help :

make sure it is on 'blind' most of the time. just let it attack you..heal when your not on backfire and when necessary.... shouldnt take long to kill itself....

I just defeated Doppelganger with my normal build when i tested. I just used as usual and killed it in 30secs. But i ws very near to die, about 80hp. It might be teh different between runes and inisigias?

Derv bomb ftw!

Bring the usual Derv bomb build... and be sure to bring [skill]Eternal Aura[/skill]
Cast all enchants before going in.....

Run up to Dopple... cast Eternal Aura.... bomb... once everything recharges.... bomb again!

Me I did only take Dervish attack/schyte/mele skillz then charged him and dropped him at the first try. No speciall armor or runes
Tips for this prob is starting out with a stronger attack like Chilling victory then mystic sweep etc pref don't take any HP giving attacks.
No enchantments, healing just a blade, 7 attack skills, and a heart of murrdering lust.

when i face dopple i go the safe and easy way and depend on my secondary..

for monks retribution and holy wrath necros.. insidious mesmers.. empathy.. rangers .. pets stuff that makes you avoid him.

i havent gone against him without one of those secondarys p;

For a D/Mo i suggest using Retribution, holy wrath, and SoA and mabye mystic regeneration if he doesn't use it like Healing breeze(not sure if this glitch still works, its been a long while). put about... 8 in smite and rest in protection.
