Maybe I am just lucky, but i reushed into the room with 3 SF ele heros, the 2 hench monks, the earth hench and.. some other hench.

Took me about 5 minutes to realize to use the kegs, then I used them and killed Cyndr easily.

I think all I did was spread out my heros and have my henches stand somewhere else and just ran back and forth. I died a couple times and I think I wiped once, but the shrine is about 5 feet from cyndr.

basically, the dungeon is only hard if you go into cyndr not knowing to use the kegs on him. I was 60d before I figured it out and then it was time to resign. If you know what to do beforehand, this dungeon, like all others, is incredibly easy.

Mass area-of-effect damage-over-time (AoE DoT) worked for me easily enough.

Myself, and two hero ele's setup all as earth with 4 or 5 DoT skills worked fine, along with a standard prot and henchies were: heal monk, 2 warriors, 1 interrupt ranger.

The DoT from 3 of us, given he doesn't move, pretty much meant as soon as he was vulnerable he was taking a massive amount of damage... First vulnerability took him down to ~1/5th HP, next carapace kill he died very quickly.

Just an option...

It's absolute nonsense to say that Cyndr is too hard with H/H. I blundered in first time with my mesmer and H/H and killed him easily.

His pyroclastic took me by suprise but once I'd figured out barrels + armour + Boom! I ran 3 barrels over and my AI buddies killed him before his armour recharged.

My heroes were nothing special, 2 rangers and a paragon I think.

Is it? I managed to take him down completly unaware that I was supposed to use the kegs to remove his carapace. I think one of my henchies went down for about 5 seconds, but other than that I had no idea he was such a hard ass.

Easiest way, bring a monk hero with protective bond. Disable protective bond and manually cast it on yourself (hero doesn't know how to do it correctly). Flag heroes+hench away so they can't get it, carry and drop kegs. Protective bond makes sure you stay alive. After dropping the 3rd keg, un-flag heroes+hench and attack. Repeat if necessary.

Honestly (and I'm saying this without any arrogance), I cannot possibly see how Cyndr can cause any problems. At all. Cyndr is a joke of a wurm, he has less than 1k life (my H/H group killed him within 3 carapace breakings and I bought 2 SS necros with me who were largely useless while I went Eviscerate).

Heck I even spent the first few minutes running around like a headless chicken because I was trying to get him to respawn someone else (he stayed in the same place the entire time). During that time were were being bombarded like crazy but Mhenlo and Lina easily covered it. Seriously, unless you people were standing completely still and didn't do anything or even attempt to kill him then maybe you'll die. Otherwise I can't see anyone having trouble with it

I had no trouble dealing with cyndr, I was with a friend whos, dont mean to be rude but, heroes were well under par.

Anyway I was using this one guys invoke spike heroway set up...
Me= Elementalist Blinding Surge + Shell shock + (weakness causing spell)
2x= Invoke spammers
1x= Water ele with Ward against Harm

Other guy=Ranger (i guess just regular bow set up without any interrupts)
Jora= Basic tank nothing special
Mhenlo= didn't even have an elite, he spammed like healing breeze
Talkhora= Prot with shield of regen, and reversal and thats about it.

Basically it was my first time fighting him and my partner tells me to drop a keg near cyndr so i do and then i attack him and his health went down to like 2/3, rinsed and repeated, no one died, mhenlo got about 1/4 the way to dying but came back. Easy boss if you ask me.

Let's see, I was using some crappy [skill]crippling slash[/skill]+[skill]gash[/skill] build on my War, I had Sab's Synergy Build on my heros, and I think the henchies I took were 2 monks, a mes and an ele.

Meh I so feel your pain, that's exactly what I had. I usually don't like puzzles, popups, hidden surprises and I especially hate worms.

The next time I completed pretty flawless with a guildie.

All dungeon bosses are a pain in the arse btw. I remember frostmaw, murakai, the flame djinn boss, Fendi nin. When you don't know what you will be up against for you're usually in for a tough end fight.

Owned Cyndr on my first try with my sin, but on my second try with my Dervish, my party wiped 3 times because menlho was on crack spaming vigorous spirit instead of LoD.

Finally used my dream team : Morghan + Hayda to great success.

morgan : [skill]"fall back!"[/skill][skill]"stand your ground!"[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill]+damage skills

Hayda : [skill]"Fall Back!"[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill]+damage skills

[skill]"Fall Back!"[/skill] is blocked to be manually used.
Flag your heroes in the middle. Use stand your ground to help drunken mhenlo.
Use [skill]"Fall Back!"[/skill] and run kegs to cyndr.
After the third keg, spike the big bad wurm.

Finally,

Hard to Fail this way.

Rit/Derv: Weapon of Remedy, Vengeful Weapon, Mystic Regeneration, Fleeting Stability - Add whatever you want after this.

Monk: Mending/Protective Bond - Add whatever you wish after this.

Necro: I didn't need this Hero - but to make sure you don't fail. Blood Ritual - add whatever you want after this.

Party: Doesn't really matter - just make sure you get to Cyrn with or without 60 dp.

Just make your way down to Cyrn: Have everyone stand near the Lifestone no one except Ritualist needs to leave this point. Cast Mending and Protective Bond on your Ritualist.

Have the Ritualist cast Fleeting Stability and Mystic Regeneration on himself and proceed straight to Cyrn. Once there you will be spamming Weapon of Remedy and Vengeful Weapon. One at a time and as Cyrn strikes you. There is a pattern where he hits you twice really quick. Great time to spam your two skills. Don't use the Barrels at all FYI.

The Necro is just in case you need extra energy for Monk - I found I didn't need him but it's a safety net.

Ritualist was at 60 dp and had no problem.

If you want a close up view of the action - Die then click on the Hero and give him commands.

I just went and kill it with heroes and henchies, and I didn’t die any time.

As ranger I didn’t got to make any physical damage, but I used poison and interruption. The other henchies where the interrupter, 2 elementalist and a monk. My heroes where a monk, warrior (probably useless too), and a necro.

...and no green

LoD/Prot Monk hero + Mhenlo

Flag the Rit in the entrance, out of Cyndr's range. Load spirits

Laugh as he tries to kill you.

Drop 3 kegs and own him. I used 2 Conjure Dragon Slashers on Koss and Goren and myself with an ED Dagger build.

I got it on my first go with hench and heroes, one of which was a MM, cos I didn't know I'd have to fight Cyndr at the end of the mission. Got down to 60DP, then checked wiki and found out that I had to drop the kegs next to her (Before that I was like 'WTF, not doing any damage'

One powerstone of courage and Armor of salvation later and I did it quite easily.
