Default Really Hidden Treasure

Hi there!

I know that hidden treasures are supposed to be hard to find, but believe me they are more hard to find if they are behind the walls!

The shot is in Spanish, sorry, but "Tesoro Escondido" means "Hidden Treasure". I didn't deactivated the interface due to sleep attack :P

We were doing Darkrime Delves, when we arrived to the third level, we just opened the secret chamber, that usually has 3 hidden treasures inside. Then we used the Light of Deldrimor, the treasures pinged on the map, but we couldn't find any light on the ground. We keep searching them for a while, we didn't find them. We waited for five minutes, and again used the Light, they pinged we saw the position on the map, we get there and... NOTHING! We get annoyed for a min, then in that point we used again the light and ... SURPRISE! The treasure was there... Ok, not exactly where we supposed, it was behind the wall! And the other two treasures were also behind the wall! We couldn't get any, and I was in a lucky run, I got an onyx, a Bolt of Damask and some max gold chests.

It was funny, but plz, can you fix that treasures always appear inside the dungeon?

Thanks!!!

I remember reading somewhere that you needed dwarven powder kegs to get to those treasures. Correct me if I'm wrong?

In all the other runs, the treasure where inside the walls, and as far as I can remember there are no powder kegs on that level. They are on lvl 1.

Well if that's the case then it sounds like you got gipped. Not much can be compared to the annoynance of having a chest spawn in a wall.

somewhat annoying though not the end of the world.

Would be nice to see this fixed, I have nto had this happen to me with Hidden Treasure, but i have found chests spawning in unaccessable areas, and drops from creatures sometimes drop in parts i cant reach to pick up.
An example of this is in Sparkfly Swamp where it dropped in a tree

Please don't take offense to this... I actually mean this as quite a compliment:
You have great English grammer if your primary language is Spanish!

Also, I agree with you. The chests should spawn in the dungeon.

I had one spawn in some lava...was kind of dumb to walk halfway through a pool of lava for 105 gold.

Thx for the compliment, but I made some mistakes.

I also found the one in the lava pit, I think that was funny :P

I really hate to do this but...why do so many people on guru type "grammer."

I've seen people troll using the "grammer," and now compliment (first time for everything) but they are still both wrong.

---> Grammar <---

ok sorry, back to your post, I think treasures off the map are neet, but in walls are ugly.

That's not good. I have had three pings on my map at once and have had enough bad guys in the way that when I finally got to where the pinging had been the light had simply vanished and I'm aware that they are suspose to vanish over a period of time according to Wikki and we only ended up with two of the three hidden lights and not three. I think the idea is pretty neat but if items are appearing in walls what's the point ?

I believe there are also a few Kurzick chests that still spawn inside of stairs and trees where one can not get to them so it doesn't surprise me to see this in GW:EN

Maybe you missed a Hidden Switch that would remove that wall.

Ive had a few that when standing on the blue light, hit it again to reveal and its gone. No Ghost, no Hidden Treasure, nothing.

I was doing a dungeon with some guildies and a few monsters were stuck in a wall....of course one had to drop a gold that was unreachable by my guild mate.

I'v seen these bad spawns a couple of times, too. It's not just a random occurance. This is something that needs to be fixed.

Gah I hate it when they do that. Sometimes I've found boss monsters with the dungeon key spawned inside the wall. Thankfully I usually bring a nuker and thankfully ANET intentionally programmed it so the key would drop in the open area rather than where the boss dies. And sometimes like in Cathedral of Flames, the little blue flame showing where the hidden item is buried in the ground so you can't see it and have to either guess where it is, or wait til the effect wears off and use LOD to ping it again.

Then the most bizarre hidden treasure I found was also in Cathedral. I stood over the blue flame, and used LOD. Congratulations My Sweet Revenga has found a hidden treasure. This was my first ever hidden treasure so I was rather excited to see what would happen next.... um so where is it? I look in my inventory, I don't think I got anything.... I search the entire area..... nothing, no chest absolutely nothing. Um.... well that was exciting?

I'm gonna venture a guess here: That screen was taken in Frostmaw's Burrow lvl5 right?
If so, the first treasure ping (which is close to the entrance) reveals a hidden switch, which opens a hidden door in return, which leads to 3 or more hidden treasures. The mini-map doesn't reveal the passage just look for an opening.

Nope, It wasn't frostmaw, it is in the dungeon with a Jotun boss, inside the hidden chamber
