For the life of me cannot figure out how to use Charr siege Devourer. Ridiculously somehow I fired 1 but cannot activate the other. Can someone please tell me how to do this as I have run like 100 explosives there and have only succeeded in blowing each them up when dropped.

You don't even need to use the devourers, just go straight for the camp.

Don't drop the explosives. talk to the devourer while you are holding the explosive.

I have stood there and clicked on it about 100 times nothing happens. I do not see any other way to talk to it. It hisses but nothing else happens.

You need to be holding a charr explosive when you click on the devourer. And dropping an explosive on the devourer doesn't count.

And, it should be noted, that they will only fire once. So if you talk to it WHILE holding the explosive and still nothing happens, then maybe it already has.

It's usually fairly obvious when they've been used in Against the Charr, since they explode themselves shortly afterwards. According to later dialogue this is implied to be because you didn't know how to load it properly, although I personally think it's more likely that they receive return fire from the devourer catapult inside the camp.

You could, but if you complete the optional objectives, the Charr inside the camp are less numerous. I've done Against the Charr twice in HM so far, and the first time I skipped all optionals and the camp had a siege devourer in it...the second time around, I completed all objectives, and the camp had just a small number of Charr forces.

So if you want to spend an extra three minutes to make your quest a little easier, blow everything up.

The hissing noise should mean the Devourer has tekwn the explosive and, if you target the sieve devourer you should see it using the skill Charr Siege Attack followed by the red "charr base strength" bar reduce a little. You can only use each siege devourer once.
