Default The Underwolrd Chest ! Only acces one time a charater?

Hey Guru Folks ^^ !

Since the new update from "Friday, October 12, 2007" i am pretty sure most of us will have catched this line in the update notes :

"Underworld and Fissure of Woe Updates"
" - Chests now spawn upon completion of all quests in either of these regions."

When i readed that i was really excited, finally maby a little extra for people to group up again and do 8-man UW/FoW clearing again. ( i say "finally" since UW is overrunned by farmers, and FoW get most of the time Forgemaster groups for armor ).

Now i was checking the Official Wiki from Guild Wars ( since the other wiki is offline ), and i found this information

"Clearing of all foes and quests in the Underworld will unlock a statue in the Hall of Monuments and allow each party member to open a Underworld Chest once."

And this is were my question come's, can anyone confirm that you can only have the chest once a time a charater, or do you get it just eatch time you complete UW/FoW?

Thx for youre time!
Cheers

I'm guessing its like the dungeon chests, meaning each player opens it once per trip. But I'm waiting till we permanent favor again before I'm trying for my statues.

I completed FoW yesterday with 6 heroes (used my wifes heroes along with mine) and I would say that the chest spawn was repeatable. There is nothing to suggest it's a one time only spawn when you complete it. As the poster above says, it's just like a dungeon chest or the chest at the end of elite areas.

The only thing that seems different from the other chests is that this one has a very cool model unlike any chest I've seen before.

That big skull thing behind me is the chest btw and it looks mint.

Oh and reward wise, not too bad. I got 1 obsidian shard, 1 obsidian key, 1 onyx gemstone and 1 inscribable gold weapon. The weapon I got was a crappy chakram but looks like we should be seeing a few inscribable chaos axes from that chest.

I was wondering if people have some good setup suggestion for FoW/UW.
Atm we are using :

1 - 600hp Tank Monk
2 - Smiter Monk
3 - BiP Necro
4 - SS Necro
5 - Fire Nuker Elementalist
6 - Earth Nuker Elementalist
7 - Ranger Splinter Barrager
8 - Spellbreaker Chain Monk

This build is really good imo so far. We only used it in Normal-Mode so far tough.
I think it will work in HM faster, but the problem there will be holding aggro and shattering.

Sure. My skill bar is shown and was just 16 blood, 13 SR.

The heroes were:

3 x rodgort's mindblast fire ele: OgNCoMzjfuphM6FADjIuANC

MM (he had blood ritual on the bar too, just in case): OANEQVxW24sUPqUB8gioTgRQjA

Healer: OwUUMqG/I4Oak72vbjspbJxNTAA

Prot: OwUTMwHD1ZmIQ20tk6RczEoQAA

There may be far better builds around for clearing FoW, these are just my normal hero builds which I use most of the time, as they are fairly tried and tested I just used those.

I have problems with 3 monks and 1 being specialized for tanking.

* Add 1 more melee like Dervish (undeads down there!) or a Paragon, and
* replace the BiP Necro with another melee or B/P Ranger and
* let the SS Necro run Mark of Pain.
* The Earth Nuker would do better at least partly as Earth Warder.

It is an entirely different style, but it does not depend on one tank monk holding aggro and is less fragile IMO. Give it a try if you can, it works very well with 2 players and 6 heroes. Both of us were SS Necros. We used 2 SS Necros (us), 1 Hammer Warrior (Goren), 1 Paragon (Morgahn - I voted for Hayda, but I think my partner is in love with black men), 2 Monks (LoD/ZB), 1 B/P Ranger and 1 Earth Warder.

Hey guys!
Thx for sharing youre advice's so far guys, really appreciate it!

Something else i was wondering about.
The is a topic in the Farming Section of guru that is called :

" W/Me Uw Solo V2 [axe+sword] - Mass Aggro Fun (12-15min Run)"

I can't remeber it correctly but at one of those page's the OP explains why he uses a ICY upgrade on his items.
They suppose to do double damage against the Graspings.
Now since they belong to the specie's Phantoms.
I was wondering how a Water Magic Elementalist would do in the Team setup for UW. Any of you people got any advise for that?

First time I did FoW it took around 3 and a half hours but I shaved a hour off that this time because I knew all the quests already and used a few consumables to speed things up, the essence of celerity are a good help because of the amount of running around the map finishing quests.

IMO doin UW/FoW for the chest is not worth it, but it's a nice bonus for those who actually spend 3h busting their balls there and get 1 gold drops...

I think most will be doing it for the HOM statue really. The chest is, like you say, just a nice bonus.

Grats on completing UW btw, that's next on my list. Any tips?

Can't think of anything groundbreaking - I spent quite a while i UW farming as SS/55 and trapping, but when it came to questing at least half of them me and my mates were doing for the 1st time ever, and still we managed fine.
Just check wiki before taking every other quest to know what more or less to expect, and you gonna be grand

I've cleared FOW a few times since the updates. Chest is repeatable.

As for people saying its not worth it because its a 3h run........
ursan and consumables cut it down to 50min-1h run with good guild group

I hate asking this but I am a noob when it come to FOW and UW. Being that I am in a small guild and we do not do play these areas what is the best build for a necro to get into a group. Thanks for the help.

The chest is definitely repeatable, I've done it a few times. And I think the reason people are doing this many runs all of the sudden might just be because of the 1250e + xxx armbraces that a certain weapon drop is worth... who knows. Its definitely doable in 2 hours, maybe a little more if you take a break or two or are waiting on people with connection problems (Are there any groups that don't experience at least 1 person having lag problems? I think lag is a special hidden environmental effect that is applied in all elite missions)
