Easiest way to get onto Ruriks path is pulling either an ettin or a wolf to the bridge and killing him underneath it. Then use necrotic traversal to get onto the bridge.

Remember at this point to run back up along the path, there are a lot of spots that you need to uncover near the outpost before you go back down south. I had to redo this stupid mission a good few times to get it all

Also near the bottom of the map, there is a little town area that you need to clear, just before you get to it though there is a group of enemies. Do not kill them, just run right past them. If you kill them, more spawns in the town and runs out to you. This carries on for a little while, so easiest (for me as a squishy ele) was just to run past them and then explore

Also, I'm back and able to assist with maps again

Clearing Rurik's path in the mission Frost Gate is NOT required for the title.
As a test I didn't clear Rurik's path with my Elementalist and I was still able to achieve GMC. The attachment "GMC_without_rurikPath.jpg" shows the areas accessible only from Rurik's Path not cleared.
So if you are having problems getting onto the path, move on to the next area. The title is hard enough without wasting time on areas you don't really need.

Ok, after my other comparison, I still find myself stuck at 99.3% (.3% increase from before). I don't know why I can't get the last .7% and this is really starting to annoy me, here is my map; if anyone could do me another comparison that would be great!
I think you told me to not resize this next one, so here it is at the normal, un-resized size;

Well, I've been able to get quite a bit since last time, thanks for that again

But now I'm semi-stuck at 99.5% I still haven't tried the little piece in Thirsty river and some places in the southern shiverpeaks, but now I've lost track of what I did and didn't uncover since last time, if anyone could do another comparison, I would greatly appreciate it

I started exploring the spots you marked today and got another 0,5% just within ascalon and the northern shiverpeaks area! I've really overseen a lot of unexplored parts, thank you so much! If it goes on like this I'll reach GMC till saturday

Hi folks, im going for the tyrian cartographer title on my Warrior and at the moment im on 99.8% and ive scraped every where i can get too, ive kept a log of the areas ive scraped and ive been to all the places. Ive compared my maps with 4 different 100% maps, all of which seem to have at least one of the old/closed arenas unclouded, and since i cant get to them any more the maps are kinda useless.

However im still 0.2% short and i cannot see what im missing anywhere! so i was hoping some people with the title or any one for that matter, could lend a hand and perhaps point out anywhere that looks unmapped.

Ive segmented the map up for easier viewing too.

P.S: i am aware that theres a tiny bit in Thunder Head Keep i need to uncover.

I'm obviously assuming too much.

Use these steps, especially Step 1:

1. The game must be in Full Screen Mode not Windowed
2. In the game Options Menu set your resolution to 1024x768 or 1280x1024 or 1600x1200
3. Push "M" to get the World Map
4. Push "Shift + Print Screen" to take a screenshot
5. Post that screenshot, unchanged, here

i gto from 99.8 to 99.9 from the lil areas you circled out side ice caves and in maguuma, i then got up to 100% from the frost gate, i managed to hop onto ruriks path and mapped that out.

First post, take it easy on me.

I've been exploring the ever-loving crap out of Tyria lately and I'm up to 97.6%. I've hit a roadblock of sorts, though. I was wondering if anyone could point out where exactly I need to go to find this last ~2.4%.

Thanks for the compare. I'm up to 99.1% with a couple places still left to hit. I am having a bit of trouble getting to 2 spots, the spot that appears to be in the mountain west of Snake Dance and the area above SF. Any help with how to get there will be much appreciated.
